CHORD BUDDYWorld's Best Guitar Learning System

I can see why some music teachers do not like the system but if you take it as an extra tool it will definitely help. If however like me you have spent 55yrs on the tools and your left hand does not want to work the way that it needs to then like it says on the box YOU WILL PLAY IN 1 DAY. The system is extremely easy to set up and use and stays in place, a little patience is needed on first set up to get the rubber pads right but after that it's no problem. The only down side is that my first loan guitar was a fender acoustic/electric and the neck and the head are bigger than most I think? this made the initial set up quite time consuming. When I got my present loan guitar Fender Strat electric it fitted and set up in 2 min. conclusion. If you are young you probably won't need it but if you are older or your hands don't work the way you would wish. BUY IT, it does work and will get you over the (I can't do this my fingers are killing me, I'm useless at this ) stage and start having fun from the day you buy it.

The DVD that comes with Chord Buddy, will not play in Windows 7, 8, or even 8.1...This software is essential for successful use of the device. The file format on the DVD is VOB and BUP. You need to purchase more software to do this and the cheapest I could find was $59.00 I have Arthritis in my hands and this device seemed the ideal solution to begin to play the guitar again...NO WAY will I pay again to use the device....In other word this SUCKS!!!!

Not as easy as it looks practice aid does not stay in place all rubbers on tabs are all the same when advertised they are black and grey

nice for beginners that want to learn how to strum when you dont know how to press the chords correctly yet. Then you can remove button by button when you learn each basic note

Did not work for me, I found it clumsy to fit and set right, and not helpful to learn any of the tunes I wanted to learn

Cheap pice of Chinese plastic that won't stay in place once fitted I fitted mine several times no matter how much I tightened it it kept moving wouldn't recommend what so everWouldn't give it a star either if I could get away with it

This product make several rather bold claims. I am a professional guitar teacher, and can dispute most of the statements made by he seller."It gets you playing from day one". --- A good teacher will do this quite easily and encourage the student to practice and develop technique "It allows you to progress faster, without seeming like work or learning at all"???. ----Learning guitar is not easy and there are very few shortcuts - this is not one. I can not see how this will enable the average functioning pupil to progress faster, if anything it will greatly hinder technique and create some very dubious habits. Although, I can see how it would benifit pupils of limited physical and mental capicity.To master the instrument takes many years of dedication and hard work, learning an instrument is fun and will help in many other aspects of life."It's a proven, effective, all-in-one system, suitable for all ages". ----- How, where ,what or by whom is this product proven to be an effective tool for learning to play the guitar... utter rubbish. All in one system? ---- no way will you be able to master any guitar solo etc or anything else other than strumming the most basic of chords and even then not even learning the correct chord fingering, instead, just pressing a stupid coloured plastic buttonSuitable for all ages - --- Yes I do agree on this one. My 2 year old could use it and perhaps an octogenerian whom had sufferd a stroke. "Instruction Book and Companion DVD with a 2 Month Lesson Plan". --- forget this, get a real guitar teacher, or just teach yourself, remember this will take years "ChordBuddy Songbook with over 100 Songs. Works on acoustic and electric guitars"---- I have a funny feeling that the songs will not be very good or have had much though put into it, other than "how much do you think we could punt this rubbish off for" Only £55.00???? - -I can assure you that if this product did enable any learning, which it most certainly does not. Then it would be mass produced in the far east for one or two dollars max. Just take a look, it's a piece of cheap moulded plastic, the DVD and booklet will cost next to nothing.Avoid this at all costs. if you do happen to have £55.00 burning a hole in your pocket, then give it to charity, give it away or just burn it.

Can't believe this little gem. I ordered one for my wife sort of as a joke but after a week she was strumming songs on the guitar without the Chordbuddy. Last Sunday night, five weeks later, we had a picking at our church and she played along with us for two hours.Now a couple of things, l have played guitar professionally for years and I was able to show her some shortcuts and "tricks". She has learned to move between most chords quickly and without difficulty. I have her using a capo for songs in the key of C as she has some trouble holding F chord but she will master that.Also, the instruction materials that come with the system are great. She faithfully practiced for at least an hour every night sore fingers and all but after five weeks I can't believe what she has accomplished.I don't believe that just anyone could do what she's done in five weeks because she was driven to play. I have a small recording studio and she plays piano for our recording sessions which helps her as she understands cord progression and structure.But... If you have wanted to learn to strum a guitar using proper chords to play most any songs, don't hesitate to get the Chordbuddy. It is beyond doubt the best way to learn to play a guitar I've ever seen!

Great Product

Takes over a month to reach India. Also doesn't work

Well, I just received this item today. When I opened the box, I was overwhelmed by the smell of cigarette smoke. I put the package outside to let it air out, however, it didn’t help. The ChordBuddy itself still smelled like smoke, as did the guitar case. I ordered the child’s ChordBuddy as well as the adult version. Needless to say, I was disappointed and grossed out for lack of a better word, especially as one of the items was intended for my child. It’s shocking that something that travelled for a week could still retain such a strong odour of smoke.Now, that being said, that’s not ChordBuddy’s fault, just the distributor’s fault. ChordBuddy is actually pretty cool, as I tried it out and was able to get the hang of it right away.It’s really strange that in this day and age, something this would still happen.
