Works Perfectly as Textbook Cover
A couple of reviewers said this cover was too thin for them, but I thought the fabric and construction seemed sturdy. The upside is that it's more see-through than the cotton covers so that you can easily read your covered book titles. It will probably stay clean longer, too, since it's less absorbent than the cotton covers. Either way, they are all washable. I'm very happy with this cover and with the great customer service I received at Book Sox when I called because I had made a mistake on my order. This was SO much easier than driving all over town searching empty shelves to find solid black book covers for a boy who would duct-tape his books before being seen with a red or printed cover on his book.

so it's pretty big. With that in mind
I bought this to go over one of my books that lost its dust jacket, and it fits right, but it's a little loose. The book is 9.5 x 6 inches and about 2.5 inches thick, so it's pretty big. With that in mind, saying that it would fit a regular-sized novel is unrealistic. I have yet to attempt it with one of my textbooks.

Just what I needed
This was perfect for covering my choir book. We performed Handel's Messiah and were required to have our books all in black. Of course, the Messiah I ordered had an orange cover and back, so this was perfect. The sleeve fit great and even worked as a pouch where I could store my cough drops, pencil and chap stick. It arrived in a timely fashion and great packaging.

does the job
This book sock works well is made of nice material and looks good. I really did not want to buy a new bible because mine is so perfect however the cover was very worn. Now it looks like new.made of much higher quality material than similar items found at the dollar store.

not so jumbo...
The description says it fits books 8x10 and larger... that is not true. It is certainly a big sock but it doesn't fit my 10x12 book in the least. It unfortunate because its good material, it didn't rip when I tried to get it on my book. I'll probably keep out for another book.
