Great Product
I had called a few in home battery replacement companies. Both of which sent out techs that were not prepared to do the job correctly not having this simple tool to keep my radio code, radio settings, seat settings etc. o i quickly sent them on their way. One however, name not mentioned here, had the nerve to still charge me $100 for doing nothing but coming out ill-equipped of doing the job. So I checked Amazon and found this item, figured I'd give it a try as I know how to change a battery but didn't have the tool to keep the memory. Tried this out and it worked PERFECT. Highly recommend

Great way to save memory when changing out Battery
Reasonably priced device to maintain memory when changing out batteries. Just add a 9 volt battery and easy to use.

BOUGHT IT-FAILED
I bought this on advice of BMW to keep to vehicle 'energized' while installing a new battery. allegedly, plugging in a 9V power source will supple sufficient trickle juice to keep to car from draining electrically flat and then dealing with a possible plethora of side effects what now plague virtually every new car built in the last 10-15 years. stuff like seat programming for different drivers, window lifts, odo and mileage settings, and most important in BMW- it has a circuit sensor that makes adjustments on the fly for recharging your installed battery based on your driving habits.

I followed the instructions and while it saved most settings, it still lost the time. Not bad though.

Car memory saving made easy
Keeping the car electronic gears energized with a 9V battery is not so easy. Given the limitations of a tiny battery, just avoid any non necessary drain of current.Unless a more powerful source is available, that's it.
