Does a very good job
I can't comment on the durability of this as I have only had it a matter of months. I got it when I had a lot of turf laid and it was very hot and dry. It is easy to adjust for reach and for the area as it goes from very narrow to 360. It can be linked to another sprinkler, although I haven't done this. I had a problem with the spike as it goes down a long way and my soil is very stony. I solved this by putting it in a flower pot with lots of stones. I perhaps should have got the sled version. It needs to go down as far as the horizontal bar to prevent it leaning over in use.It seems good value to me and looks sturdy enough if you don't mistreat it.

Good, but I wish I was able to tweak its spray settings
This is an amazing product, unlike their pulse sprinkler that stops working once it rotates to one side. However, this sprinkler is not very effective in covering the 'blind spot' that is between the sprinkler and the max range that it covers. It does use a 'spray' instead when rotating back from left to right, but that partly covers the 40% of the max range, thus leaving the bit between the sprinkler and the bit where it's spraying dry. It's a little annoying as you would then need another sprinkler to cover the 'blind spot' and set them up very closely so that their range intersect with one another.

Quality sprinkler
Great coverage if you have the water pressure and loads of adjustability to water the area you need. you get what you pay for with Gardena

Very Poor Spray Pattern
The spread is very uneven, to the point where this item is useless. I reverted back to a standard swing unit.

Only spins one way fix
I recently purchased this for a large lawn renovation. The product when plugged into my pull out hose would only turn one way and it all seemed to shake when it was pulsing. By placing a rubber oring under the two red tabs that control the angles it will go to this then allowed it to not shake and pulse back in the other direction. Also running a single hose just to the sprinkler that was the correct length helped massively with the pressure drop I was having. Think Gardena should have thought about this when testing this project as it does leak like a sieve anyway.

Excellent
This product is amazing. It is what I was looking for long time. Only problem is that it doesn’t sprinkle near the base properly when you select long distance spray

Great idea, poor execution
This is a brilliant piece of kit, or at least it would be if it managed to fulfil its main purpose of uniformly watering a circle. Instead at the longest distance it waters a ring around the circumference leaving the central area virtually dry.I recently replaced an excellent Gardena pulse sprinkler with a Hozelock pro simply because the noise it made late at night – set for when sprinklers and watering neighbours had called it a night - seemed unfair to the occupants of a new house built just beyond the end of our garden.Needing a second sprinkler and impressed by the Gardena pulse model I tried this turbine model, and it is an impressive piece of kit. On a domestic water supply at the end of a long pipe run it shot a circling jet of water at its longest setting around 11 metres which give a circle of around 380 square metres. The problem is that it is largely that, a jet of water which irrigates a strip around the circumference. Adjusting the distance, just a simple turn of a knob, changes the angle of the inverted V shaped deflector, which in turn creates increasing interference in the flow of the jet creating more spray which means more of the circle is watered.Down to the lowest setting, around 4-5 metres, and only a small area around the spray is missed and even that does get some water from the fine back splash from the rear of the deflector on a full circle. I tried every setting I could without getting real, even coverage and the problem is that you are paying a top of the range price and if it is only partially effective in watering a total area even on the lowest setting then there are much cheaper alternatives which can do as good or better job.On the technical side the circle can be adjusted from a full 360 degrees to a narrow strip, 20 degrees is the claim, and, to be fair, the movement, whether a full sweep or a limited arc, is both silent and smooth. There is a pass through if you want to piggyback sprayers and it does have an internal and easy to clean filter. Adjustment is by that simple turning knob to raise and lower the deflector. All in all it was a big disappointment but I am sure that with a redesign of the deflector, or a change to a bank of nozzles set at slightly different angles, there may well be a cost to maximum distance of throw but an increase in spray pattern to substantially increase the area actually irrigated, which after all is the basic function of a sprinkler. At the moment though, unless you want a sprayer that waters the perimeter but leaves the central area largely dry, it would be difficult to recommend this sprayer. I will be returning the Gardena sprinkler and despite its lower advertised coverage, I will be purchasing another Hozelock pro.

Excellent sprinkler
Good quality, this one has a metal spike and other components so should last well. Good coverage if you have good pressure.
