Stretch Charmeuse Satin Lavender, Fabric by the Yard

It’s really nice Fabric, but it does not have any stretch

Perfect! It came looking just like the picture. One side is sheen like the picture and the other side is duller and slightly darker color. The stretch is there, albeit very small. It is only 10% across the grain so do not expect much. The quality of the fabric is great and delivery was extremely fast. It is not see-through so it will work great for clothing. It is lightweight but not tulle light, it can handle being sewn on a machine but be careful of the threading strength and speed. I brought only one yard because I wanted to see how good it was before I brought more and now I will be buying a lot more.

I should have known based on the price but I thought it was a deal. The fabric is horrible! I’m not keeping or using it, I’ll be returning this cheap, non stretch, “satin”

The fabric is high quality 2-way stretch satin, but the color has a purplish tint to it. It's closer to metallic purple than gray. Here's a picture of the fabric next to some gray felt.

I bought this because it said “stretch charmeuse”, it’s not stretch at all, which means I won’t serve my purpose, and it’s just setting me back timewise because now I have to return this one and order something else that is stretchy.Wish they would have an accurate product description, especially in the title of the item.

This is a nice quality satin in a decent weight. it has a nice hand but it will not drape like Charmeuse. For the $$ i will keep it and use it on a different project. But if you are looking for Charmeuse this is not it. I knew when 10 yd fit in a mailer it was not charmeuse. This is not a stretch satin either so if you are looking for stretch you only get the normal bias stretch.

Lovely, very thin, lightweight, silky hand, faux silk satin charmeuse. The color is beautiful. The quality is good across the board. Ben Textile is an outstanding manufacturer & all of their fabrics I have purchased & sewn over the years are top quality! I plan to make a set of luxury pjs & robe for winter.
