Crimson River: (The Edens #5) Paperback – November 23, 2023

I have loved this entire series, I have read them as quickly as I possibly could because I could not put these books down!!This was my favorite though because I really loved Lyla and Vance. Their story was full of shared trauma, so much chemistry, and heartbreaking loss and ultimately love. The Eden family is the kind of family everyone dreams of having and I really liked we get little updates on all the siblings throughout the series.There is one more book in the series and while I am so excited to read it I will be sad to leave the Edens behind.

Llya and Vance come together over the worst circumstances and during one of Llyas worst weeks ever.Llya finally takes a day off and decides to hike, but along the way she is strangled, but let go.Vance instantly recognizes the case similarities and takes off to meet Llya and try to track the Monster he’s been tracking for years.As a thriller and suspense girly, I ate this book up! There’s so much mystery in this book, we get to watch Vance and Llya fall in love along the way but this one focuses heavily on the suspense aspect and I love that. Sadly there not much I can say without ruining a good chunk of this book, so I’ll just say read it! If you love the suspense aspect you need to read this one. It was so good! I couldn’t put it down!

After Indigo Ridge, this is a close second in the series! I loved the romance and the mystery and all the characters involved! Great read!

Each book in the Eden Series gets better and better! And with each book it gets harder to pick a favorite! Lyla & Vance were just perfect! Crimson River has mystery, murder, twists and all the spice! I just loved these two and didn’t want to see their story end!Vance Sutter has been on the search for a man that has taken hold over his career as a cop, every turn he takes he slips through. But a chance encounter by a river in Quincy, Montana could be the first real clue in years to end the nightmare that has haunted Vance.Lyla Eden, with her blue eyes and her chocolate croissants proves to be more than just a lead to his case, and with each moment they spend together the harder it’ll be for them to both walk away.Lyla and Vance quickly stole my heart! Their connection is so beautiful, the spice is top tier and don’t get me started on Vance’s nickname for Lyla! Swoon!Vance was so great to read, strong yet broken and trying to heal all the betrayal he faced. Determined and kind. I really loved how his character developed throughout the story! Ughh and his way with Lyla is just the best!Lyla Eden is a beautifully written character. She’s vulnerable with such a big heart and kindness for everyone. She’s fierce and loyal. And despite her fears she pushes through to help Vance solve his case.All in all Crimson River quickly became one for my favorites this year! I’m equally parts excited and sad for the last book in the series, I just want to read about The Eden’s and the ones who capture their hearts, all the time!

This book had me on edge from the first chapter, and to also be able to watch the love story develop was a special treat. One book left in this stellar series.

Another Devney 5 star!! I ate this up.It was heartbreaking and beautiful and slow and everything I needed it to be.Lyla and Vance come together over the worst of circumstances after the worst day of Lyla’s life. Vance is struggling and Lyla is struggling but they help each other heal a little. They are the others peace. Their solace. It was beautiful.The mystery kept me reading well past when I should have put the book down for the night. At no point did I know for sure what was about to happen.If you’re on the fence I highly recommend crimson river! I haven’t been let down by an Eden book so I can’t pick a favorite but Lyla and Vance will be in my mind for a long while!

Lyla meets Vance after she is attacked, and he goes to investigate it. He has been searching for this individual for years. While he is searching he starts a relationship with Lyla. The Eden family as always rallies around each other. There was some humor, steam and mystery.
