Nice compact size
We downsized from a very large microwave to this. It’s working great, no issues with the size or heating. The only downside is that the whole thing shifts when the door is pulled open and closed. We purchased a rubber drawer liner to put under it to prevent it from moving.

Great microwave for all the things microwaves are good for.
We bought this small microwave to replace a GE SpaceMaker II that was chipping the paint inside. Actually this was the second SpaceMaker we'd owned as the first one that came with the house. died about a month after moving in. Not very happy with GE quality control in general actually, and the fact that the bloody cabinets in the house seem to have been built around the bloody microwave speaks volumes to the stupid proprietary nature of that model. Anyway, bought this nice little Cuisinart to replace it. Built a shelf in the space where the old microwave had been and had enough space either side of the new Cuisinart to store a few cutting boards as well. The unit functions as it should. We really only warm stuff up in it, not really microwave chefs, so defrost and reheat are our primary uses. Solid unit for the money. Door is not as flimsy as other units in this price range. Overall, very happy with it.

Works great so far
Does everything it should. Understand it is a very small unit - the only size that fits in my cabinet space, so perfect for me, but not for everyone. The clock/time cook takes some getting used to - you can't just key in the time you want, because it automatically starts 1-minute if you press the 1, 2-minutes if you press 2, etc. If you want to punch in a custom time, you have to press Time Cook first. I've been used to a push button open, so it also took some time to get used to having to pull the handle to open the door. But it cooks fine, turntable works fine, light is adequate - good value for the price.

Perfect for apartments, smaller rooms!
This is the absolute perfect little microwave. Just the size I wanted. And the door opener is one of the reasons. I don’t like the ones with push buttons, they get harder to pick over time. So glad I got this before they sold out. My 3-4 year old one worked fine but for the reasons I stated above and too large for my counter. I was able to give it to a college student which made me happy!

Buttons are Very Hard tho Activate on Controla
either the device itself or the build quality between machines is terrible because the control panel on the machine I received is extremely hard to activate by pressing – so hard the machine will move before it before a function is activated.Probably the last thing I would expect on a microwave oven is to have a control panel that looks like every other that is so difficult to press that sometimes the machine slides before I can get a depression that activates the function. This includes the start button and every number or special function on the control panel. Sometimes I’m actually forced to use my fingernail which is not super long, but I try to keep in shape to make the press or just won’t happen.I purchased this microwave because it was the smallest that seem to have full functionality that I could find , I got it specifically for a bedroom that’s on the second floor so I don’t have to travel all the way down into the kitchen when I want to use it.I would’ve returned this if it wasn’t such a pain to Box a large item For return. I expect much better from Cuisinart. Who’s K cup coffee maker and convection oven sre terrific.after I took this out of the box and placed it on a mini fridge in a bedroom that I like to keep fully functioned I was extremely disappointed and never would recommend this to anyone unless I got a lemon, but somehow I can’t imagine that with today’s manufacturing techniques, one would be so different from the rest.Otherwise, all functions work well, and the only other negative about this machine is that there’s no sensor for sensor cooking. If you’re a senior with arthritis – not saying I am but just saying that anybody with any physical limitations should stay far away from this machine. Actually, I think anybody should stay far away from this machine – it’s terrible! Shame on you, Cuisinart!

LED display defective
The cooking function is great and the unit is small, which is what I wanted. Unfortunately, the LED display became defective about a month after receiving the unit. One bar went out, then two, then three, rendering the clock useless. A useless clock isn’t a real problem, but a useless timer is. I wouldn’t buy this again.
