It is square. It holds my 3x3 sticky pads with room to spare. Keeps my desk from being cluttered with random sticky note pads. Would recommend if you need something to hold your sticky notes or loose note paper.

Damaged in shipping
Item is sent in a padded envelope, and it was bent/crushed in shipping. It is not very sturdy, but the real problem is that it needs to be shipped in a box. Returning for refund.

Doesn’t sit flat, it wobbles badly!
Doesn’t sit flat-wobbles corner to corner. Assembly of cage to base is poorly aligned for spot welding.
