Fellowes 3229901 Powershred 99Ci 100% Jam Proof Heavy-Duty Cross-Cut Shredder, 18 Sheet Capacity

I upgraded a much smaller 5 sheet shredder to this shredder. Junk mail goes in unopened and it shreds without a problem. Only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is the shred bin is cheap corrugated plastic held together with plastic clips. 2 clips came apart and made it hard to slide it back in and engage the safety. I glued the clips and haven't had any other issues and figured it was a product of Covid manufacturing. Will shred high page counts constantly for about 30-40 minutes before the thermal safety kicks in, but unit cools down rather quickly. I bought the bags for the big and keeps things cleaner, but no sure way to keep the bag in place with clips. Safety feature is great peace of mind with kids and won't allow your fingers anywhere near the blades before it stops. I would buy this shredder again.

I had a heavy duty Brother machine for years that was a loud old beast. It finally gave up the ghost on some transparencies I ran through it. This Fellowes job is soooo much quieter and seems to handle as much or more paper without a hint of distress.

This shredder shreds perfectly. There is one major glitch with what would have been a perfect product. The bin keeps popping out, therefore it comes to a halt. It is very difficult to seat the bin firmly in place. This was expensive and should not have such a flimsy bin and a better way to anchor the bag.

I bought one for my office and my staff loved it. So I bought another for my home. It never jams and eats paper clips like nothing. Has a big bin also so I don't have to empty it as often.

I have had this for a few months now and it has worked like a dream.

The shredder is not as advertized. Jams quite often. The cross cut size is too big. The container fills up quickly. Really feels flimsy.Not happy with performance - not one of their better products!

Easy to use. Hefty piece of machinery. Handles LOT'S of junk. Expect many years out of this baby.

This is an awesome shredded works great for me

I've had quite a few shredders in the past that never seem to last very long. I bought this on a recommendation, I wasn't planning to spend that much, but when I turned it on I just knew it was good.It has a very powerful and quiet motor with a cool indicator on the top to show how hard its working so you can pick the most efficient number of sheets to shred at once. It also has sensors stopping the motor if hands get near the slot.You can buy specific bags to line the bin, but I found that the normal 50l bags you buy for kitchen bins fit perfectly.If I had to buy another shredder I would bbuy this one, but I suspect I won't need to buy one any time soon.

We are very pleased with this shredder. We have a fair amount of shredding to get through and this model is up to the job, so full marks. It is good for any small office and for home use, but if you are in a larger office then get two of them and place one at each end of the room!If you are going to use it at home, then check the size first as it is fairly chunky, but so much better than the basic ones you can buy.

I have a had a lot of shredders over the years. Nothing beats this one. Commercial quality. No jams, churns through piles of paper, CD's, staples. Amazon was really great too. Sadly their own brand shredder fell part and they collected it from my house with this Fellowes replacement arriving by Prime. First class service!!!Follow up: Still a great shredder. However the confetti is not very compact possibly because the paper is heated in the cutters so its quite hard. This means you have to empty the bucket frequently which is messy. I dont know if there is better shredder which compacts the confetti better but I am still happy with the machine.

My husband made me buy this as we have a home office and he thought that this machine would make shredding easier. We have a lot of shredding and he envisioned being able to feed 9 sheets into the shredder with ease so that our shredding was done more quickly. However, the shredder doesn't seem to like taking more than two sheets at a time, so it doesn't take any more than the previous cheap shredder we had purchased locally. It is not worth the extra money.

Replaced amazing machine with same model number and expected the same. This is cheap rubbish for a massive cost. The bucket is made of corrugated cardboard (the previous was moulded plastic) this will not last and i hope fellowes will replace it but think not! Very very disappointed. Too big to return.... :(
