Decent mower
Mows good, need to replace belts immediately because they burn up quickly. Would get five stars if they only used better belts

Assembles easily, Oh, don't forget to grease brgs and gearbox.
I think the angle iron shipping cage ensured safe arrival. (and I may make a welding table out of it). Assembly went fine. Book says grease bearings and gearbox. Don't forget. I like the 3 belt final drive. It can handle the tractor hp but give a little if I hit something solid. Check belt tension after 4-5 hrs. I ran it carefully the first hour to break in the gearbox. I don't recall that instruction but it's wise for any right angle gearbox. Later ran it full PTO speed but low tractor speed over grass that had been 18" high before a wet snow took it down. My tractor is 28 hp. That's on the low end of HP but I was mainly interested in how it left the grass, not how fast I could power through it. It did a fine job. Took it out to the pasture which is what I got it for. There is a lot of woody stem buck brush. This mower will take it to almost ground level without scalping the root base. My brush hog won't do that. The brush hog does more damage than good at less than 6". Other things: I like the overrunning clutch at the mower end of the PTO shaft. I like the quick disconnect at the tractor end. User note: The instructions said to "fill the gear box". I don't think that means literally fill it to the top. I filled it to well over the shaft which is about mid way from the bottom.

Awesome Machine
This thing is AWESOME. It works great on my Kobota B2601 Compact. Only complaint is it has sheared off the bolt a couple times on the PTO shaft. But no prob just put a new grade A 3/8 bolt in. I was turning the PTO on and off more than I think I needed to. This out performs my finish mower and bush hog.

Works very well, and cuts clean.
Work very good after I changed the belts to U.S. made cog belts.
