Dorman 924-015 Engine Splash Shield: Fits and works perfectly
This shield, despite the few less than enthusiastic reviews here on this site, is a well made part which fit my car (2004 Mazda 3s) perfectly. The shield is very sturdy, came in nearly flat (not warped) and nearly mimics the original shield in all respects (which, in fact, is not a good thing because the round cutout for allowing to change the oil filter is still not aligned with the filter but the hole is actually closer to the filter than on the original shield.) Comes with the necessary hardware (nuts/clips and screws). Considering the price of an OEM shield, this is an exceptional buy - 5 star.

Perfect fit on my 2006 Mazda 2.3 Manual
I didn't have any issues with warping. Typically, any car part that you replace takes a little elbow grease to get the fitment/bolt alignment right. If you want to ease somebody into DIY car repair, this would be the starter project to complete their first oil change. It will also make future oil changes and DIY car work much easier...and clean if your car has 110,000 miles on it like mine did when I picked it up. After doing a few things under my car I realized that the most annoying part of every project was taking off and replacing the sagging, cheap, annoying (seriously!?), stock splash guard. The oil filter hole isn't aligned with the actual oil filter, but it didn't align on the stock guard either. I'll probably mark off the filter location during the next oil change and cut out the area so I don't have to remove the entire shield in the future. It's nice to know I have 5 minutes to complete a simple step instead of 15 minutes of cursing everything on the earth to get a stupid splash guard off...or on.Great value.

Inexpensive and a perfect fit
I've purchased this part a few times over the years. I seem to manage to hit road-going animals every few years which tends to break this shield. The part is inexpensive, high quality, and includes the clips and screws for all but the front 3 screw locations. I've put 250k miles on this car in the 10 years that I've had it and the underside of the engine still looks great. I can't help but believe that keeping a splash guard in place has been a large part of that.

but requires a special tool (Google/YouTube and you'll see) Relatively easy to install
Arrived same day (thank you Amazon Prime)! MUCH higher quality than the factory installed version. don't worry about oil filter hole not lining up, its for inspection purposes only and any reputable garage would have to remove the splash guard to replace the oil filter anyway as it's not your typical screw in filter, but requires a special tool (Google/YouTube and you'll see)Relatively easy to install...thank you Rachel for the tips in the comments section...as once I figured the tabs on the sides/back go over (NOT UNDER) the side splash guards it was very easy. I chocked the two back tires (you MUST do this) and jacked up both front wheels and had plenty of clearance to remove/install.Couldn't get the middle front screw to line up but was able to install four screws in front and two on each side. Again, had I realized that the side tabs go over the splash guards, it would've taken me about 15 minutes to install.Mine was a little warped, which is probably why the middle front hole didn't line up, but it's also 35 degrees in Boston today and maybe in the summer once the plastic "heats up" it will be come more malleable and I can give it another shot...again...no big deal.Wish the screws were a bit longer but not a deal breaker...

Great fit, solid hardware...
Got this to replace the torn one on a used vehicle we bought. It fits great with an easy install, and the included mounting hardware was a big plus. It feels very solid and reduced some of the wind noise/turbulence we were experiencing previously.

Missing Mounting Hardware
I ordered this engine splash shield because of the reviews in reliability of the item. I received the item in a timely manner which is good. It loks and feels sturdy and of good quality. However, it was supposed to be shipped with the mounting hardware. As you can tell from the picture. I received the item without the mounting hardware, no install instructions or paperwork of any kind. There was a tag to call Dorman if there were any concerns or issues. So, I did. The CSR for Dorman told me to get back in touch with Amazon and return since the mounting hardware that was supposed to come with it did not. All that effort in reverse! No thank you. I will change my review to better rating if this gets resolved expeditiously.
