The Materia Medica by Prof Mohanty is informative.The Presentation is however very much different than the Materia Medica By William Boericke. In Prof. Mohanty's Book each remedy has 13 different headings - Introduction, Causation,Constitution, Mental,Physical, Guiding symptoms,Main Sphere of action, Relationships,Thermal,Pharmaceutical details,Physiological action, Therapeutics,Potencies etc. On the other hand Boerike's Materia Medica has it own uniqueness like it gives Drug Intoduction, Symptoms of Various Organs like Mind, Head,Eyes,Ears,Nose,Tongue,Mouth, Stomach,Abdonmen,Respiratory,Skin,Extremities,Relationship,Modalities. Prof Mohanty's Materia Medica therefore has Omitted certain Vital Symptoms for an organ under the heading Guiding Symptoms which are mentioned in Boericke's Materia Medica. Prof Mohanty's Materia Medica is recommended as an ADD-ON to William Boerike's Materia Medica to one's library.
