One of my favorite clutch
Wooden clutch feels great in hand. Very durable and easy to use. It has some weight to it. Recommended.

Does the job, looks pretty good, but feels cheap
Nice minimal pencil. No frills but I do wish there was a sharpener in the cap.The grip was a bit too contoured for me, but thankfully because it’s wood, it was easy to sand the grip to be pretty comfortable. My biggest nitpick is that the holder is very light for it’s size, so it ends up feeling a little cheap. The wood is also completely unfinished, again giving it a cheaper feel.My nitpicks are all subjective though. This is a pretty nice holder if you have an aversion to the metal options.

Light, nice feel, ergonomic.
I liked this one better than koh-i-noor. It holds the same 5.6 art leads, but I like the feel of the wood, the lightness, the warmth (vs how cold the metal one was), the etching is nice, feel in my hand it much more natural. Seems well made and durable. I'd order another. It's worth the$8. It's cheaper, like almost every art supply, on Blick's website directly

Great holder and at great price.
Love my lead holder, no parts come loose like other holders do. Use it daily. Plus doesn’t hurt my hand like metal ones do sometimes.

Very comfortable in my hand....
I have seen many artists using lead holders to sketch with and I decided to try one. I ordered 3 different brands and this Cretacolor Ecologic wood lead holder is... by far... the most comfortable of the three to use. It is the right length to grip "overhand" to sketch with..... I'm really enjoying using it.

The pen looks very nice but niche product
I received my pen today. It looks nice and since it is made in Australia, rarely thing made from the Down Under, so I keep it and give it 2 stars. Here is why I think it is a niche product.1. It can only fit 5.5mm or maybe 5.6mm graphite lead. I emphasize on that it is made for 5.6mm graphite lead holder2. It does not even fit the vine charcoal leads3. It is not a pencil holder or extender.Unless the 5.6mm graphite lead gives distinctive pencil drawing from the rest, I would think that the mechanical 2mm graphite pencil offers more choice pm pencil leads. Also, 2mm pencil lead is less expensive.Revised.After a day of trying to draw with the pen and its 5.6 mm graphite lead, I feel that this is a very well constructed pen for the 5.6mm lead. I still do not see what the drawing line different from the 2mm graphite lead. Compared to the Staedler 2mm mechanical pencil pen, this pen is about 3 dollars more expensive and staedler is also a very good product. Because this pen is very comparative and well made 5.6mm graphite pen holder, maybe the best in its category, I upgrade my rating to 3 stars.

Nice friendly wooden clutch pencil.
Nice friendly wooden clutch pencil. Comes with a big fat graphite lead, but I got it to use with china marker leads. Nice to be able to adjust length without having to stop and peel a china marker, and it's nice to not leave those peelings around. I'm not sure if I like the "waist" on it or not; it kind of forces you to hold it at the narrow part, but that might be the right place to hold it. I can always sand it down if I want less of a "waist". The other end is not a sharpener, by the way. This is a good clutch pencil at a good price and I highly recommend it.

Pleasant to hold
I've now got two of these, with different leads in each. They are my favourite clutch pencil. Though 5.6mm lead-using, which is wide, they can be easily sharpened to a point using a normal pencil sharpener (broad width is best, but either diameter is fine). Or use a knife or stone. So they are very versatile, as they are readily usable on their sides too. A wide variety of leads are available: I mainly use brown/sepia ones, charcoal, or 2B-6B graphite. Compared to others like them, these - being wooden - are warm to the hand, fit easily and comfortably into a variety of fingered drawing positions, and are thus very pleasant to use. After using them, other types seem cold, metallic, hard, cumbersome, or cheaply plastic, somehow less human - I think it is all down to the wood construction. Each is slightly different, all are very well made. You get personally attached to this implement, unlike many others. If I had to take one drawing implement with me, on a landscape drawing holiday, then this would be the one I'd choose.

Schönes Holz, fühlt sich warm an, aber sonst zu groß und klobig.
