My planted tank water was a bit dark and I read that this stuff would be helpful in clearing it up. I don't know how it works, but it definitely does help. My water is definitely clearer!

One of the best for reducing nitrate in my tank.

I have used this on both my 10 gallon and my 55 gallon tanks. Works great on both for months on months.I have dirted and planted tanks with several pieces of drift wood and that releases lots of tannins into the water column. It almost looks like using a tea bag in water. Some like this look. It's not for me, at least not for these thanks. I tried this product out and in 12 hours it was a night and day difference. Water got clearer each day and by the third day in my tanks the water was clear of most if not all of the tannins. 1 pack makes my 10 gal crystal clear. 1 pack in my 55 gal has an ever so light tint that is nearly unnoticable. (Unless looking from the side of the tank or comparing with my 10 gallon.One of the best parts of this product, is that you can reuse these bags. It's a slight process that involves soaking bleach and water. So I bought two more bags so that I can swap out the old with the new. Then I can recharge the old ones while the new ones absorb the tannins. Then repeat the cycle when needed.I easily recommend this if you want to get rid of tannins in your aquarium water.Happy fish keeping!

I would never have a fish tank and not use these. It keeps the water Chrystal clear, even with using cappa leaves

I moved my betta to a 5gallon larger fish tank and had put some drift wood in the tank (after boiling it etc). The tank became so cloudy I couldn't see through. My betta ended up becoming so lethargic I thought I was loosing him. I purchased this and within 24 hours the water is clear and the water tests have all come back perfect! He's now his old giddy self! Amazing stuff for tanks with driftwood. I will now keep it my rotation. (Put entire bag in the back of the filter)

The media could not be loaded. Both my tanks look like I polished the water. Love it.

Love this product. Cuts down on filter changes immensely. Just make sure you get all the chlorine out after recycling it. Reduces tank cleaning. Keeps water crystal clear.
