So I'm new to the whole resin thing. I was really excited when I seen this. Oh that's awesome I can make little notebooks. This is my first finished notebook covers I made with these molds. I can't wait to make more covers!!

Mine have defects in the molds creates flaws.
Packaging needs some cardboard to keep the molds flat! I noticed flaws in my mold, but as I’m new to resin I didn’t realize the flaws would be in my finished product. Idk if the molds were touched before they were dry or dryer too fast, but mine have crazing & uneven surfaces. The molds are very shallow & the defects are pretty obvious when you look at them, but hard to photograph. I’ve only used one mold Bc I didn’t wanna waste more resin on the other 2 after seeing how the defects showed up in my finished product. Amazon is sending a replacement. Fingers crossed. I’ll update after I receive them & try them. I did think about trying to cover the defects with an opaque resin, but the molds are so shallow I’d have to try it out of the mold. No thx on that. I gave them a 4 on easy to use bc being so shallow makes them not so easy to use. You can’t do any layering of resins. I had planned to use shark stickers for my grandson, but it’s so shallow it hard to lay down a base coat then apply stickers and a top coat. I couldn’t do it. The packaging had the molds not lying flat so I couldn’t get my resin to lie flat as it wouldn’t level even tho my resin self-levels. The bottom would be overflowing & the top would have zero resin. They seriously shipped it with the larger molds folded over on themselves & not one of the molds lies flat. I thought about trying to weight them down before trying them, but was afraid that would just cause it to be more misshapen. I have a similar issue with pen molds. They came distorted & I foolishly believed adding resin would reestablish the correct shape. Wrong! Lol. Misshapen/defective molds means misshapen/defective products.
