Discrete Mathematics and its Applications Paperback – Project Calendar, January 1, 2011

Book came within 4 days of ordering. It is the international version so the page numbers are slightly off, but exactly the same exercises for a fantastic cost.

As a heads up to future students, the questions in this book did not match the assigned questions. This was a class taken at a university in the Southwestern USA.

Good solid book but it is not the same book that is used in my class. The title is the same, the edition is the same, the contents are different and the exercise questions in the book are not the same so I cannot do my homework. The front of the book says "Indian Adaptation" which I did not notice before I purchased the book. This must be my punishment for trying to save some money on a text book. Now I still need the book. Very upsetting. Apparently this book has a different ISBN even though it is under the same listing as the other ISBN. Get the hardback, avoid this paperback.

Despite matching the ISBN number to the one required for my class, this is not the right text! When it arrived, there was a statement that says it is unlawful to sell outside of India. Well, the company sold it me and I'm not in India. The problem numbers in the chapters don't match up with what the 'real' textbook has.

I just hate the subject. Book is fine.

If you plan on getting this book for a college course as a cheaper option to the original, DON'T. While the listing and the cover claim that this is the seventh edition, the preface makes a contradiction and states that this is the sixth edition.In addition, this book has NO in-text exercises. This completely leaves you in the dust if your instructor decides to issue these questions on your homework.Take my advice, and buy the original. This book doesn’t have probability. Making it hard to follow in class.

I bought this book to use for a class in the US back in 2016. But the homework problems were different, because it is the Indian edition. This would be ok if my only goal was to learn from the book, but I also wanted to use it for homework. I wish that the edition was more clearly stated, so that I could get the correct edition and use the homework problems.
