Good looking and performs ok, but not what I had hoped it would be.
Been looking for a replacement for my old gel wrist pad, and have still yet to find one that suits my needs. Unlike some others out this, this one looks great (best looking wrist pad I have tested thus far), and actually feels like it has a gel center. The key problem is that the gel is too hard for my taste. My hope was to find a replacement which was exactly like my 5 year old wrist pad, made of a soft gel that is (a) cool to the touch (so that the area under my wrist won't feel hot) and (b) is soft enough that it compresses about 1/2 an inch before it firms, so that it will provide a good balance of cushion and support. This Compucessory Gel Keyboard Wrist Rest Pad is more firm than I would like, only giving about 1/8 of an inch. Since it doesn't compress very much at all by merely placing your wrists on it, it doesn't contour as much as I would like it, and has the secondary drawback of creating hot spots just under my wrists - making it less than perfectly comfortable. Like this could work well for others, my search for the perfect wrist rest replacement continues....

One of the nicest wrist rests but bad smell
I spent a LOT of time researching computer keyboard wrist rests and selected this one because it was the right size and clearly the best construction. It was also one of the few that was thick enough to support my wrists at a proper height. But like other reviewers I found the extremely strong chemical odor beyond enduring. I have "aired it out" for 2 months and the smell still is too strong to use. I eventually made my own rest from medium density closed cell foam I had at my factory, and which you may be able to buy from a foam store.

Falling apart after 40 days
I purchased one of these wrist rests several years ago and found it to be durable and long-lasting. Earlier this year, the edge of the fabric covering started to pull away from the base, exposing the gooey interior gel, which started shedding sticky beads all over my desk. Given my prior positive experience with and the longevity of that wrist rest, I purchased the same model a replacement, despite the much-higher cost of it compared to other wrist rests available on Amazon. Unfortunately, the new one started to fall apart shortly after the return window eclipsed. After 40 days of use, it is in worse shape than the one I used for several years and is already shedding the same sort of sticky gel blobs on my desk.

Best gel wrist rest for those who like a cool lightly textured fabric surface.
This rest is solid gel with a slightly textured black (not dark grey) fabric cover. No beads or other material inside that could potentially fall out with damage or wear. Surface is cool and moderately firm (not hard) with some 'give'. Bottom is rubbery and holds to a wood desk surface quite well without use of any actual adhesive. After doing some research to replace one I've been using for years, I purchased up two different wrist rests for comparison. For my needs, this one is definitely better than the 3M WR85B gel wrist rest, which is somewhat thinner, and has a firmer and more 'plastic-y' feeling surface.

Excellent comfort. Just the right amount of softness.
I ordered two keyboard wrist pads from different suppliers. This one was the least expensive and it has the best comfort. The Fellows wrist pad is about an inch longer than this one and it has a square cut end. This wrist pad has a slightly rounded end and I think it has a better overall appearance than the Fellows pad. Both pads are about the same width. Also, both pads have a piece of removable plastic covering the back side's sticky surface. I haven't removed the plastic from either of them yet. So far, this pad seems to stay in place just fine without the sticky surface being exposed. So if I order another keyboard wrist pad, I will purchase this one again versus the Fellows wrist pad.

Good Product
I would recommend this product to anyone looking for a quality keyboard rest. It is gel filled which keeps it from getting stiff. It has a nice silky cover and is very comfortable to rest on. It has a rubberish bottom to avoid slipping and stays in place nicely. As an added bonus, the gel filling keeps it nice and cool. It is a great product for the price.

Super Comfy
I work at a table/desk 99% of the time and I wear out a spot on the edge of it where my arm rest. I wanted something soft and comfy for my wrist. I actually bought two of these for my layout and they work great. One is at my keyboard other is at the end of my Wacom. Its a little long for the Wacom but makes working on it much more comfortable. These things are worth their weight in gold love the feel and my wrist thank me for it.

..
This is a pretty wonderful wrist pad with a grippy base for minimal sliding. It's floppy, too. Sometimes my boyfriend and I swing it at each other and yell "stop smacking me with the floppy dildo!". It's pretty gelly, too. I like it.
