Q: 40 inch bust, 34 inch waist, 42inch hip... what size should i buy? maybe the xxx large?

What I suggest is you order 2 different sizes. The cups run small, and the corset is shorter than what appears in this picture. Depends on your torso too. We also had a difference in strap width and bra width! We were on a design deadline so we compensated, but order a couple of sizes up and then send one back. The cups are somewhat demi-sized so you might spill out.
