This item is perfect for a historic home like mine. someone had removed the hardware from the side lights by the front door...these items have the perfect look and fit i needed for my windows. Very heavy duty, nice hardware.

The handles come off because the method they use to "loose lock" the handle on its base is to hammer the post coming out of the handle so that the thin edge of brittle flattened post is supposed to hold the handle securely on. Not so much. 3 out of 8 have already come apart in less than a week. A screw might have been better? Unfortunately for me, my windows were not ready for me to install until returning was possible.

I was expecting these to be a little larger. We used 2 per window and they look great. They function well and were not too difficult to install.

Cheaply made and not as durable as the original hardware, but looks similar.

The item was what I expected. I needed to match the locks on the porch of my 100+ yr old home and this item was perfect.

I installed these, and then put blue painter's tape over them to protect them while working on the sash. When I removed the tape (which was for delicate surfaces, by the way), the oil-rubbed bronze finish came right off with the tape, revealing primer or metal underneath. The "finish" appears to just be paint. I was fooled by the Schlage name into thinking these would be good quality - don't make the same mistake I did. Keep shopping.
