Good size and solid construction.
Have not used it yet, but will update once the lake freezes solid and we get to go fishing. Easy to put up and seems to have solid construction. We will be able to get the four of us inside with room to spare. Great value!Update: bought this in 2020 and it is still going strong. The black color really helps to keep us toasty. I'm shedding layers to be in a t-shirt. Nice and dark inside to be able to see into the holes to the bottom. Great purchase.

Very easy to setup and takedown after a practice try or two - recommend to do this indoors first before trying on the ice. Comfortable for 2 fishermen with medium-size folding chairs and vexilars and some space in-between for a bucket or whatnot. I can carry this on my back thanks to the carrying case it comes in and its small size. While other vehicles are driving all over and cracking the ice, I feel safe as I am able to carry everything I need on my back and pulling a sled.Got me through it's first season with no troubles at all. At this price, I've already gotten good value out of it.

Lightweight good starter shack
Pretty good little shack. It's light and keeps the wind off of you. I did get a little chilled when Temps dipped into the single digits but nothing a small heater can't handle. Setup was easy. Takedown was a bit more challenging. I learned the best way to takedown is to push in the top and sides then flip over and pick up at the metal folding points.

He loved it! Not only did this order arrive ahead of schedule, but it was of better quality than I expected. Bought this as a gift for my man, and he was astounded with the simplicity of the set up and take down. We fit about four people in here just for warmth and we were all comfortable. I would recommend this purchase any day!

Collapsed
Pole broke and the shelter collapsed.Do not use unless you take it down when unoccupied or top center loop is secured from up high. (good luck with that in an open area...) If you keep it unoccupied, I recommend you cut off the top loop.I used as self-supporting and it failed when the top center loop got wet and froze and then continued to build up. Until it broke a pole and collapsed on itself, the ice mass was over 50 pounds.I believe it to be a poor design flaw so I do not recommend to purchase.

Great product at an affordable price
The media could not be loaded. Great product so far. Lots of space and headroom. Easy to set-up and collapse. Easy to carry in my 54" long sled, light enough to be carried on my shoulders if need be. Quality material and construction. Zippers look and feel sturdy, however I found them too tight and hard to close. There are no suggestions from the manufacturer on how to deal with that but a Google search reveals several solutions to this what seems to be a common problem with these pop-up tents. On a really windy day make sure to use your guy ropes (or even better, your bungee cords) to secure the windward side. On my first use of the tent, on a quite windy day, with gusts reaching 38km/h, the windward side popped-in, hitting my back twice. Also on a windy day make sure you pack the skirts with snow, otherwise you'll be wasting your propane, trying to heat inside the tent, due to continues drift of air from under the skirts.Overall i am happy with my purchase and would recommend this tent to anyone who wants a quality product at a good price.UPDATE: This is going to be my second season using the shelter. I see the price went up quite a bit or maybe i had a very good deal last year at $170. In any case i will update the review at the end of the second season. So far the shelter held up pretty good. No rips or tears due to manufacturing defects. One cut to the fabric due to my mistake last year. I had an ice auger inside the tent without the blade cover on it and i was collapsing the tent when a strong wind blew the tent away. I was able to catch it but the auger blades managed to inflict a large cut near one of the windows. I was able to fix it but lesson learned, never leave an auger unattended with its blades exposed!..

Awesome tent!
Honestly this is an awesome tent. I bought it last year and have used it at least 40 times. It’s been out on super freezing -40c days, on wayyy-too-windy-to-be -out- days, and on warmer nice days.On freezing cold days, when you close up the doors and sit inside with a buddy heater going, it’s amazing. It retains heat very well.On super windy days, the extra supports are definitely needed. I’m sure this is the case with all tents, but when it’s super windy the wind collapses the walls and that’s when you need to use the extra straps to support them. As long as the tent is secured properly it’s good! And on nice days, well it’s just perfect. It’s very tall, my boyfriend is 6foot2 and has no problems getting around in it.I wouldn’t recommend more than two people though, as it can be tight. Usually it’s just me and my boyfriend in it and it’s perfect for us.No rips or tears, has held up really well.Very very easy to set up and take down.

Everything is great except for the anchors and
I bought the Frabill HQ 300. Set it up once in my yard and once out on the ice so far. Set up is super easy. By myself it takes about 3 minutes to set up and about 5 minutes to take down and put back in the bag. The down side is that the Frabill ice anchors are complete garbage. If you go out with these ice anchors be sure to bring a drill to start your holes with as the anchors will NOT grab easily on their own. I highly recommend anyone who buys this tent immediately order Eskimo brand anchors because they are the absolute best. Also the plastic windows break very easy in cold weather but can be fully removed anyway. Otherwise the Frabill HQ300 is a great ice fishing tent for the price. Easy set up/takedown, stays warm and can comfortably fit 6 people.

Review based on the HQ 200
Perfect. Quick setup and easy take down. My right arm is paralyzed, minus the time to put in the anchors it takes me about 10 minutes to pop the hub up myself. With 2 ppl it takes 5 minutes. Ordered the HQ 200 and fit 2 of us comfortably. Could put 3 in there depending on what size chairs you have and where you placed your holes. The oversized carrying bag is great. Easy to pack back up. I had been eyeing this hub all winter and had it sitting in my cart and price kept changing from $200 to 250. Amazon I think was toying with me trying to get me to impulse buy it when it was at 200 lol then I saw it went down to $150. I had an upcoming fishing trip coming in a week so when I saw it at $150 I knew it was time to check out. Great investment. The portability gives me the opportunity to try out a bunch of different lakes and still stay warm. Make sure to anchor it down tho. Especially the outside pegs as you never know when you'll get a guest of wind which will either turn it into a kite or have your walls popping in.

Good Quality Frabill - Shame about the zippers
This is a great Frabill pop up. I'm a smaller female and put it up in my living room by myself without too much difficulty. I am sure in windy conditions, it might be harder, but I would never take this out alone as when I'm solo, I have a single, Frabill flip sled for those times. The bag is nice and roomy to place it back into. There are 4 window that have a flap you can close for light, as well as each window "pane" is fully removable and attaches by velcro. The zippers are nice quality but one MAJOR GRIPE and I am not sure if this was a manufacturer error, but the two door zippers both travel in the same direction, rather than meeting each other. This renders having two zippers essentially useless. (see photo). Fixing this will cost more than the tent. If this is going to be your main gear, keep that in mind. This will be nice to have when I want to take a friend out for the day who doesn't have their own gear. Once all this 'distancing' thing is over of course.
