Great compound to use in a variety of ways.
This is probably the best stuff I have used to take out heavy swirls and deeper scratches with. I have used this with a rotary with a wool pad to get out heavy swirls and the random deeper scratches at the same time in about 4 or 6 passes at speed 1600 to 1800 RPM with some pressure on the first 2 or 3 passes and just the weight of the machine the last two or so.Used it today with a foam cutting pad on the rotary at a speed of 1400 to 1600 RPM used the same 4 to 6 passes as above. Got the swirls out and finished out pretty good.I have also used this with cutting foam pads on the dual action polisher and it removed heavy swirls very well. Just not so much with the deeper scratches like the wool pad did, at least not without doing more passes with heavy pressure. Still used the 4 to 6 passes with heavy downward pressure for the first 3 passes and light pressure on the last 2 or 3 passes. This actually finishes out pretty well this way with very little need to use a polish afterwards.Im pretty sure you could finish out very well with this even by using it with a polishing pad for real light swirls ... just finish of with light pressure for the last couple or few passes.Being that this compound uses SMAT abrasives (the abrasives dont break down) this allows the product to cut really fast and allow for fewer passes than compounds/products that use DAT abrasives (abrasives that break down with more passes). Which of course will save you time and effort. This does dust up using the wool pad quite a bit.. but that is usually from having too much loaded on the wool pad along with the heat generated. If after a few passes you feel like its a bit dry you can mist the paint area with a little bit of water to reactivate the compund and do a few more passes. With foam pads I dont have near as much dusting when used on the rotary ... on the dual action however it will dust pretty good. But the dust doesnt ever hurt the paint finish or the performance of the compound. This is a great compound to use in a variety of ways. The method depends on your level of defects, paint hardness, and what you condider good enough.

Long work time with great results.
I'm not a pro by any definition but have done a fair amount of body/paint and have detailed for years. I was struggling with the M100, which I bought in a pinch. The 100 has a very, very short work time and if it dries or you dry it while buffing you have to use a detail spray or similar to remove. Not a fan at all. I had used this M105 a couple of years back on a repaint of a fiberglass trike body and it did a great job. I installed rockers and a couple of patch panels on an older Ford Econoline and did a rattle can paint and clear blend. In using the Spraymax spot blender I always seem to get some grain/dry spray. After a wet sand of those areas using 1200, 2k, 3k and 5000 sandpaper I used the M105 with an 1 1/4" knap wool pad on a rotary at medium/low speed and as expected brought out a beautiful mirror shine on those areas. I had previously used Meguiars Ultimate Compound and polish on the other body areas just to brighten the finish. White paint is a bit more forgiving of swirl and scratches but after seeing the 105 next to it I'm going to have to go over it all again. The deepness of the reflections is night and day. The Ultimate polish used with a D/A and polishing pad seems to work just fine with this. 105 has a long work window and removal is easy and painless. I'll stick with this going forward. I'm sure most of my paint issues are self-inflicted but most learning curves are. Keep in mind this is an 8 oz. bottle but it was a perfect size for my needs. Hope this saves somebody some M100 grief.

Works well but can be tough to remove
I used this with a rotary buffer and a MENZERNA 6 Inch Polishing Pad HEAVY CUT for Scratch Repair. I was mainly trying to get a long 6" wide and four foot long abrasion off the passenger side of my car. I went over the sections many times and did get a good amount of the abrasion minimized. But, it is still noticeable in spots. It could be my technique or gear, but overall I felt like it was a good compound but not excellent. It is very tough to remove with a soft cloth if it dries or comes close to drying. But, it's a fine line between it being wet and smearing around or being a little too dry/thin and really having to work at it to get the residue off. It did work well at getting most of my headlight lens "fog" off. But once again, difficult to wipe off the residue.

Excellent product - smooths out small abrasions nicely
I definitely recommend this cutting compound. I smooths out minor abrasions, takes out swirls from sanding, and is a good way to prep for polishing. This is a good price and a good value for what it provides. It will keep a vehicle looking nice.

Shined up old Corian counter
Used this and same brand polishing cream with the car buffing kit on my 15 year old Corian counters. It definitely shined them up nicely although it really didn't remove any deep scratches (no surprise). There was an area that had suffered a pretty deep scratch which I sanded resulting in a dull section. You can see in the photos that it definitely improved the dullness on that spot and the overall look is very nice. Would definitely do it again when it gets dull.

Get your arms ready!!
It works but man is it hard to get off!!! Best way is put it on with an orbital buffer then IMMEDIATELY wipe it off! It did remove swirl marks and scratches within reason.
