Just perfect!!!
I was concerned about how this would arrive but I am so glad I purchased it and waited for it. Well worth the wait. It is solid and does not look cheap (although the price is great) It has a good weight to it and perfect for what I will be using it for. :-) I just love it. I also purchase another for my sister.

Feels more appropriate to be used as a sword than an athame.
I'm admittedly new to Wicca and am in the process of collecting all my tools for my altar. I got this to be an athame. After more research, it seems more appropriate to be used as a sword. I'm kind of tempted to buy this other Egyptian athame to use as my athame and keep this one for a sword. Not that this one is by any means bad. It is heavy and I love the Goddess decorative detailing on the handle. Maybe this is just a "different strokes for different folks" kind of thing? I won't be sending it back because I love it too much. Even if I just kept it as a decorative piece to frame in a shadow box or something, it would be worth it.

Pretty to look at, but not well made.
This is a very nice looking dagger. I like that it is a heavy weight. However, there is a stamp saying "China" on both sides of the blade. I was slightly more than perturbed about this when I discovered that the picture of the item doesn't show this. If it did, I would not have bought it. Another thing, I washed it once and, in spite of being careful to not submerge it fully into water, the hilt took on lots of water and leaked for days.
