Well Built - Looks and sounds great
First off, I'll address a dislike I was seeing from other reviews; many people were saying the fork doesn't have the square tines as shown in the product image, but rather round. While this is a valid point, the description does say "round tines" so it's kind of hard to argue this one. I'm guilty of making purchases from pictures alone as well, but we can't 100% blame the seller if it was in the description. Nonetheless, to me this is a benefit because in my experience, it's much easier to hit a round tine against your finger/wrist than a sharp square tine. The sharp edges on a square tine seem like they would be painful and damaging. But I digress. As for the rest, it looks great and does what it's supposed to. It's made in Germany, which in my experience has almost always meant superb construction, and it's no exception here. Please see my photos to see the round tines and a size comparison next to a quarter. I found it was just perfectly sized for me; not too big or too small.

Sustain, sustain!!
There is not much to say about a tuning fork, except it is accurate and has great sustain. If it is accurate and rings long enough for me to get it to my ear to tune my instrument, I am satisfied. I have a tuning fork that does not ring long enough for me. I like to check my tuning several times to be sure my ears get it.

Good buy
The media could not be loaded. Seems to be in tune with A440 so it will meet my needs as a music educator. Reasonably priced. Well-made. Easy to attach to a lanyard for daily use.

Precice contact tuning fork.
I would have given 5 stars but they sent the round tine model instead of the square. That being said, I'm very pleased with it . It is very small and light, making it less likely to damage your instrument if dropped. It is plenty loud enough when used as intended .. strike the tine then place the ball on the face of your instrument. You need to make contact with the instrument. It is precisely 440 hz.

Not super loud, but works for me!
The media could not be loaded. Others mentioned that it would be difficult to hear in a noisy environment, but I only use it for guitar tuning while repairing instruments in my relatively quiet shop. Plenty loud enough for that. No complaints here.

Top quality
It's tuned perfectly, something not all "440hz" tuning forks are. Some can be noticeably off. Also, it rings for a lot longer than cheaper forks. I always have it in my gig bag because you never know when your electronic tuner will fail. I've had it happen on gigs.

It works. You won't get a better tuning fork for under $20.
I recently delved into piano tuning. I bought this tuning fork to help me get started. In contrast to most people learning the skill these days, I will always tune by ear. I was blessed with an unusually good pair and intend to make full use of them. I'm not going to waste those years of college training in aural perception and tuning will make for a nice side gig. I've already tuned my own piano and the one my choir uses for rehearsal and at least a couple of performances per year. I still have a lot to learn but I can do a solid ET tune out of the box, having played numerous string instruments over the years. This tuning fork is accurate. However, when you strike it and hold it against the woodwork of the piano, it doesn't make much sound. But it is fine for my sensitive ears. It wouldn't work for an orchestral conductor to provide a reference pitch for tuning.

PRECISION 440HZ TUNER
German made highest quality (no junk) with perfect tonal pitch precision at a FINE PRICE. A MUST HAVE for the True Tradionalist Classical Guitarist. One can also use this 440hz tuning fork to validate an electronic tuner for absolute accuracy. Set it on 440, strike the fork on your knee, and hopefully an "A" displays. Same note as that on the 5th fret of the 1st string (high "E") when tuned correctly.NO, I DON'T WORK FOR THIS COMPANY...Have fun!!
