Works for me
Decent material adjustable. Sat a textbook on it, notebook and a regular 8x10 single sheets of printer paper all held up just. Works for me, great for studying and work.

Great for hardcovers, not so much paperbacks.
I had got this because I was looking for an alternative to the wooden holder which I also have. The page props on that can be too tight and risk damaging the pages, on this one it is great. I don’t have to worry about it, but because they are not as tight, it makes the use of paperback books on this less than optimal. In my pics you can see a brand new hard cover book stays open with ease. I also tried. With new much larger hard cover books and this works great. In the second and third pics you can see the props are not sturdy enough for keep a paperback boob propped and it was just close on itself and could damage the pages.I love that this is so light and that it folds flatter than most. A bonus is that I can pick it up and the recliner stays, it’s not something you would think about unless you have tried the wooden ones.I would definitely recommend this to a someone, and already have. I would just add the caveat that it cannot really be used with paperbacks, but all hardcovers should be fine.3 stars because a good number of my books can’t be used (paperbacks), the book props feel like they could have been tighter, and for the same weight I would like to see it a little bit bigger. Also I think it could be a couple dollars cheaper.

Took me a while
I didn't like this when I first unpacked it, though I did appreciate its price. I would have liked a base that seemed less scratchy (it's hard plastic, so it's not really scratchy). And it's not pretty. But I've come to really appreciate its design usefulness. It has a small footprint, which was important to me, and seems quite sturdy. I'd been a little concerned about the arms, but they're quite sturdy and perhaps even better, adjustable to allow for different size books or allow different tension on books which comes in handy when you're flipping pages back and forth. As for pretty, this replaces a plastic one I was using in a beautiful turquoise color but with too large a footprint, and no good way to hold books open. I miss the pretty color, but this one is so far superior in use that there's just no contest. But I had to use this one a couple of weeks to really appreciate it.

Good for the price
Holds 5 pound 10 inch hardcovers down to half pound 7 inch paperbacks. Page clips have no springs and might get too loose after a lot of use, but they work well for now. Using this for light and heavy books. Metal stand with plastic back part is about 7 by 11 inches. Folds fairly flat. I got better quality than I expected for the price. I plan to use it at home, moving it from table to table to prop up books big and small as work on my laptop. Might work as a typing stand if you use a little magnet to hold a single page in place. Folding silver metal bracket had come off in shipment. A quick gentle bend and it snapped back into place. Quarter inch foam dots act as anti slip feet. Ridged rubber mat on shelf holds books pretty well.

Love this!
I bought this to hold my cookbooks and recipes while I am cooking. I love the adjustable back that changes the angle of the stand. This stand has served my purposes quite well. I have used it continuously since it arrived, and I wonder how I ever managed without it! Since starting Keto, I do a lot more cooking, and I am using a lot of new recipes. This stand has truly solved a problem for me. It keeps my cookbooks or recipes where I can see them, and it also keeps them off the counter where they might be soiled by spills. I would buy this again in a heartbeat! It arrived promptly and was well packaged for transit. No complaints of any kind.

Sturdy but light weight to carry around!
I have another bookrest made from bamboo. However, I realized that carrying a bamboo bookrest in my backpack was not practical due to the heaviness. I didn't want to purchase a plastic one because I was afraid that it might break due to the heaviness of other books inside my backpack, so I stumbled upon the Readaeer bookrest! Durable but lightweight enough to carry in my backpack. I like it so much that I stopped using my bamboo bookrest and only use this one.

Very good BUT:
Great and practical. However the clamps are very flimsy and easy to break. I have broke the clamps on 2 stands already.- I wonder if the seller sells them separately

First impression
It's perfect for what I wanted. It holds my large print LDS Quad set of scriptures wonderfully! Just what I was looking for. The angle is adjustable, the arms at the bottom hold the pages down, and the back is high enough to support the weight and height of the book.

Essential for all kitchen cooks
Every kitchen should have a stand to help keep the cookbook proped up in order to help with cooking a recipe. Helps keep the cookbook clean and out of the “splatter zone”!Pros:- Well built (made of metal)- Heavy enough to even hold up the heaviest of cookbooks or tablet (iPad)- Has two metal tabs to help keep pages of your cookbook open, but the tabs aren’t in the way of any text as they are fully adjustable.- All black finish blends in well with dark countertops.- Can also be used to keep books or pages proped up when working at the computer.Cons:- Very simple packaging, so might not be the most attractive box when gifting.Would I buy it again:- YES

Not for textbooks
This would be great for light, wide, and thin books. It is not good for textbooks though. The little tabs don't really do much other than rest on the pages. It's difficult to keep fatter books from slipping and falling off the stand. Recipe books, yes. Textbooks, no.

It works fine
This book holder helped me a lot when I cooked in the kitchen. Easier to read my recipes for sure. The details of the holder are nice, too. Happy about this purchase.

A holder you need to hold
I returned it maybe its good for paper and small TPB maybe not really for any larger books or any hardcover ones.

It is a highly helpful reading device.
I love how it’s adjustable in terms of how close you want to set up your book, and also accommodates sets of pages in any thickness. It’s also foldable, so I can place it in my bookshelf without it taking up much space.
