Ultimate oyster opener
Works well, --be sure to twist, not pry. I found the handle a bit short for my taste, but a minor inconvenience.

Works as advertised
Handle was comfortable. Opened oysters easily. Would definitely buy again but given the quality don’t think I will need to anytime soon. Will consider it as a gift in the future to fellow bivalve aficionados!

Works great, why is handle unfinished?
Great knife. Works really well but I don’t get why they didn’t put a finish on the handle

Same as it was 40 years ago!
This oyster knife is perfect! Made the exact same way as it was 40 years ago! The quality is identical to the one my dad handed down so long ago. Now I have the old rusted one (which still works great) and a shiny new one. How amazing that R Murphy still makes the identical knife, with the identical quality materials, in the same place they always have, Ayer, Mass. USA!

... murphy schucker a few years ago and i realy like how easy they were to open oysters
my brother first introduced me to the murphy schucker a few years ago and i realy like how easy they were to open oysters, so i finally broke down and boufgt my own. as far as i'm concerned they are the best out there by far and worth every penny.

Sure didn't seem like I was using too much pressure
Maryland Oysters... Less than 2 dozen shucked before the tip broke. Sure didn't seem like I was using too much pressure. Just felt cheap. Also purchased the MOMONI Premium Oyster Knife Set at the same time. It's a better built knife and got me through the other three dozen I needed to go through. Sort of liked the bent tip, but then it broke, so what was the point of it? Go with the Momoni knives, they are built to last.
