Very good colour

Beautiful and fluid ink. Very very smooth..If you use a wet nib it will absolutely glide.Lighter shade than camlin and Parker but the texture on paper is buttery smooth.Worth every penny.

It's nice but not like a typical Iron Gall Blue Black Shading. It has some sheen at times. It dries very quickly. You will need a nice juicy wet fountain pen to use this ink. My Lamy Safari struggles with a hard start. Pen cleaning is required.My only disappointment is the seller sent two bottles of 30 ml instead of 1 bottle of 62.5. I lost 2.5 ml which means a few bucks and several pages of writing. That's okay.

[27/04/2018] I purchased this ink on 7th Nov, 2017. I only now got an opportunity to use this ink and I really love the violet colour.INK : The ink is of a very good quality. Though it is more on the drier side, it flows really good even in my parker ( Parker pens usually write on the drier side). However do keep in mind that if you use a dry ink in a dry writing pen, you will see some skips between words especially if you write fast.COLOUR : The colour is a very deep purple(or violet). It's not too dark that it looks black nor too light that it looks pink. However do keep in mind that the first time you start to write after a few hours gap, it looks like a very dark purple, but after a word or two you get to see it's actual colour.SHADING : It has a good amount of shading and i can say I'm happy about it. Due to the fact I used a dry parker pen, shading might not be so apparent in the picture attached, but I can tell you it shades well. It will shade even better with a wet pen and broader nib. Don't expect too much shading if your using low quality paper. Unfortunately my camera wasn't able to pick up the shading very well, but trust me it's thereSHEEN : There is no sheen in this inkDRY TIME : As the ink is more on the drier side, it dries fairly quick. It does however depend on the pen and paper your using.GHOSTING : There is some ghosting on classmate notebook paper and I believe it will be very prominent on a cheaper paper. There is absolutely no ghosting on JK Cedar paperBLEED THROUGH : No bleed through with classmate and JK Cedar. I don't think you will have much problem with bleed through unless the paper is of very poor qualityEASE OF CLEANING : Purple inks are usually fairly hard to clean compared to other colours. This ink too is a bit stubborn and if you wish to change ink colours I recommend that you soak the feed section over night.CRUD : No crud (This means crust like formation which can be seen on the sides of the bottle cap or on the nib of the pen)SMELL : Ink does not have any unpleasant odourOVERALL : It's a great ink and I recommend it to anyone who loves violet/purple inks.

The Pelican ink bottle was delivered on the committed day. Being a prime member it was delivered the next day. The package was very safely bubble wrapped and ensured no damage to the bottle. The ink is very smooth and the color brown is dark and brilliant. I am using a Lamy M the smoothness of the ink flow is really great. It’s a 62 ml bottle so it’s definitely value for money. I would recommend that one can go ahead and purchase the same.

I was very nervous about this ink as this is my first turquoise ink.This ink has a nice colour which really pops.I didn't check the water resistance,so can't comment about that.I was worried that I would turn out to be too light,but that's not the case at all.It's very much readable.Ink flow is awesome too.It's a big bottle so it should last a while.My daily use ink is Pilot black for fountain pen,it has good water resistance,dries quickely and is the darkest black ink which I have ever used or seen.It costs 350 for 30ml.So compared to that this Pelican one is a good deal(510 rs for 62.5ml).And also Pelican one dries quick enough too.If you are unsure,just pick it up,you will not regret it.Also decent inks are going to be expensive no matter what.At least these inks are not as expensive as those boutique inks.One might have to check their credit score before buying one of those.One request-Please don't purchase those cheap inks like camlin,glare,bril,parker etc.They are not worth it.The only thing going for them is their price,which is really cheap,which also tells about their character,which is cheap too.Especially the parker one,parker black comes out as brown +grey on paper and their blue one is not dark enough and it fades after a while.If you can afford it,plz do go for expensive inks like pilot and pelican.As all of us fountain pen lovers know,ink and paper quality actually matters a lot.

Basic ink. no troubles

Good product just took ages to come.

Recently got a new fountain pen. Haven't used one for years, but there's a certain "elegance" with using a fountain pen that a ball point pen doesn't have. Besides doing calligraphy, a fountain pen requires a bit more care when writing and that "bit more care" translates to better penmanship and better expression of thought - in my opinion. This black ink is smooth flowing without any "runs" or "blops" on the paper. The bottle has a stable shape so tipping over shouldn't be an issue. The cap goes on and off without struggling. I'm satisfied.
