Really, really nice figure! Nintendo has done a really nice job on the execution of these Amiibos, from the pose design and sculpt to the painting work, and the packaging is GREAT.Sadly, you'll have to destroy the packaging to remove the figures, and you'll absolutely have to remove the figures to use them. Nintendo placed a signal blocker under the base of the figures in the blister, so that you can't use them still inside their boxes, unlike Skylanders and Disney Infinity.Compared with other similarly sized figures, these are a good value. The quality is better than most, and the Amiibo functionality is really essentially free (or very low cost). At the moment, Amiibo functionality is somewhat limited, unlocking cosmetics and minimal content, and not really offering any new gameplay options. If these figures are a success, it's quite believable that Nintendo will expand their capabilities.Nintendo seems aimed at releasing Amiibos for every character appearing in the new Wii U Smash Bros, so you'll have plenty of characters to choose from. If you're a collector, you'll probably want to preorder them, as some seem to be rarer than others, and there's no clear communication yet as to whether Nintendo will replenish stock of sold out characters, or just continue to make new characters. Oh, and there's plenty of potential for reposes and new versions of existing Amiibos. The world needs colorful Yoshi options, and powered up Marios, and rad Samus variants. Right?In conclusion, if you're a long time Nintendo fan, the Amiibo figures really are about the best collectibles on the market. Nicely built, nicely painted, and functional.

this Pikachu amiibo is a charming and well-made collectible that any Pokemon fan would love. It looks great, adds a touch of fun to some games, and is a joy to have around. Highly recommend!

(Pikachu amiibo) This is one of the first wave of Amiibos that Nintendo realease. It was my first amiibo too. It feels so good when is in your hand, Have the perfect weigth, height. Just bought it when it realese and didn't have problem with stock or something like that so that is a very nice point for the store. The functionality with the Super Smash Bros. Game is really pleasant, you can train your amiibo and have very difficults fights when is in the highest level. I hope in the future it can be used on the Pokemon series to give something special inside the game. It works with TLOZ: BOTW too, giving some items to continue your adventure and try not to die with Link.It might be one of the best amiibos launched, comparing with anothers from the SSB series. The details on other are nice but Pikachu is the best in my opinion. (Owner of 30 amiibos)I give it 5/5 cause the quality is really good and the price is just for a tiny "toy" (if I can said that). I am in love with my Pikachu amiibo since the day it arrived to my home.

Pikachu amiibo is nice looking but it's nothing more than a paper weight. There's basically no fun games that you can even use Pikachu with.

I had no problem paying full price for this. This was the same price as a cake topper!! This not only made an awesome cake topper, its practical and that we can add it to our ever growing amiibo collection and is useful in the game, as pikachu is my daughters favorite character. Couldn't be more pleased with this. Great quality, packaging, shipment, just all around great, would give more stars if I could.

Bought this Amiibo since I couldn't wait for the Sonic one to be released. These things are pretty entertaining. My Pikachu Amiibo leveled up a lot faster than I thought it would, but it was fun watching it transform from having the intelligence of a vegetable to having instant reactions to attacks. It was also fun feeding it equipment to give it some OP effects like life-steal, reflecting back damage with a shield, and having stronger aerial attacks. Most likely going to buy at least 3 more Amiibos and have a small collection of them.Side note for the lesser informed: You can't play as the Amiibo. You can only fight against it, or with it as an ally. You also can't bring it with you in online play. It's purely for local play only.

The Pikachu amiibo still functions, but when it arrived it had a piece of Velcro glued to the bottom and was covered in scratches as other marks. Don’t buy a used amiibo.

If you don't own an amiibo yet and you do own smash brothers, Choose Pikachu or whoever currently for sale is your favorite character or looks the coolest, and enjoy creating your own personal warrior without raising a fist. Confused? All the better your enjoyment when you finally figure out these figurines are essentially Pokémon at level one and yours to mold into what you desire in a fighter. The learning and leveling up progression and unique resulting battle hardened character is a thing of sophistication by Nintendo and personal pride in molding what was $12 into something you don't want to sell for any price.A outstanding addition to the always unique Nintendo experience.
