Jumbo Universal TV Remote

Works pretty well for visually impaired. Have had two similar to this style so it wasn't that hard for me to program it for both the TV and the cable box (have to program each individually). They give you the codes for each manufacturer; as these are for visually impaired, the instructions are pretty tiny, so that person won't be able to read the instructions. So far, I've not been able to use one-button (sytem on/off) to turn on and off both TV and cable every time. As this is for a very elderly person, the system needs to be as simple as possible or she gets confused or cannot read the individual buttons. I do recommend this product and it is priced very reasonably, hence bumping it even with noted cautions to 5 stars.

The first one would not work. I contacted the seller and they replaced the unit promptly.

Easy to use, and program but every week we hve to keep reprogramming the remote so we hardly even use the dumb thing. I dont understand why it makes us reprogram it constantly. Frustrating.

Good button design and function, but very poor assembly!I bought the jumbo remote for my elderly father. It was easy to program and its codes worked for 3 of his devices: TV, DVD and VCR.Unfortunately, the remote is so cheaply put together that the batteries are unable to make continuous contact to keep providing electricity. The very impractical upshot of this is that the remote completely stops working and has to be reprogrammed every few hours! (I tried to improve the battery contacts with small pieces of aluminum foil, but this did not solve the problem.)I would've gladly paid a little more for a better made remote!

This was a great buy for my father who is now legally blind as a result of macular degeneration. Any product that helps him be self sufficient is a good deal and the price was great!

This is too cool! I actually bought it for my grandson so he feels like he has a remote! but for those who can't see as well it is very easy to use!

Wouldn't program to Dish satalite

Jumbo Universal TV Remote.We purchased this item for an elderly person with poor eye sight. While it probably is a good product, the elderly person's health took a drastically turn for the worse. Therefore, she did not get a good chance to use the remote.I would like to see a 2 part remote with only channel, volume, and power switch on one & a special menu for features on the other. Our parent repeatedly cleared the remote by pressing the wrong buttons. Many elderly people are threatened by too many buttons. I believe that simple is better.Also, many new tv's must be adjusted by remotes. I would like the ability to adjust special features without a remote.
