Better braking performance
Before i would hope the vehicle would stop before hand. Now with this set of brakes it stops way before. Great product!

Best Brake Upgrade I ever did.
My truck the 2004 Toyota Tacoma 4WD has been in the family brand new, and I've had the truck for the last 7 years and its still running strong. I've always heard good things about Powerstops and I'm glad I bought these. My stopping power is effortless it took me awhile to get a little adjusted to how well these worked. I also bought the Drum and Shoes kits from them as well.

Disappointing. Don't waste your money
Looks good but its not. Poor quality, warped and destroyed in less than a year. Shouldn't have to replace my brakes every year. Power stop quality is not good anymore. No support from power stop either, they don't care.2001 Tacoma 3.4 4wd

Where do I start. These Brakes almost killed an expecting mother of 1
2000 Tacoma v6 4x4 with 4 piston rotors. I was needing some new pads and rotors after my current rotors and pads wore out. I was going to go to rock auto and get new centric rotors and use amazon to get new Hawk lts pads but I was lazy and knew that I could order these powerstops and have them in 2 days. They had great reviews so I figured that I would try them out.Ordered and got them and everything looked great. Pulled the wheels, pads, and rotors off, compressed the calipers and started installing these. First thing I noticed was that these pads seemed really thin for new pads, about 2mm less material than oe pads. The pads floated around in the calipers due to the lack of material. Usually a new set of pads/rotors will be a tight fit in a fully compressed caliper.Went through and got everything installed after cleaning the pads and rotors with brake cleaner.Fired up the rig and pump the pedal a few times to tighten up the pads.Took it down the street and did a couple of break in accerations and slow stops. The stopping power lacked from what I was used to but I figured it would get better once the pads got broke in and or seated.Later that day I was on the freeway and exited with mild brake pressure. I got a nasty shimmy in the front end. I thought how could this be possible that the rotors had warped already.I continued to drive it and the following weekend headed up to the mountains to go camping. Coming down a hill/road that I have been down hundreds of times, the brakes started smoking. They were hot. I was barely using them and had the transmission in a lower gear. I almost hit the car in front of me when Coming up to the stop sign at the bottom of the hill. I had to grab a handful of e brake to stop.I looked at my buddy and told him that these brakes were garbage. That's when I decided to send them back. Now that was two weeks ago and I pulled them off today and replaced them with Hawk lts pads and centric drilled/slotted rotors. This combo is much better than these power stop brakes and it cost a few bucks less.IF you want brakes that work when you need them, then get something besides these power stops.I have done dozens of brake jobs, I doubt it was user error.Check out the pics of the pad difference. You are getting short changed by these power stop pads.

So far so good. Better than expected.
I was beginning to experience vibrations under braking on my 1999 Toyota Tacoma PreRunner V6. I did not have any previous experience with this brand and had saw posts on several forums regarding drilled and slotted brakes cracking. I'm happy to report I have yet to experience any issues in the 250+ miles I've put on these brakes.Packaging was ok, although I was a little concerned with the thin cardboard protecting these rotors from a overzealous delivery driver. Inside you get two rotors, specific to each side, brake pads, shims, a generous tube of anti-squeal, the retaining clip, and the pad return spring that you stick into the slid pins. The included hardware seemed to be stainless steel but I could be wrong.Install is the same as replacing your normal brakes and rotors. Be sure to follow the manufacturer's instructions and to measure the rotor runout before mounting the wheel back on. I used a machinists dial from Harbor Freight (~$40). Also be sure to follow the break-in procedure to build up a proper amount of resin on the rotor. The vibrations I had previously experienced are no longer an issue. Braking seems to have improved and even under hard braking the brakes do not lock as they did with my previous rotors and pads, Duralast brand. Fade doesn't appear to be an issue but I've been taking it easy for the first couple hundred miles. I plan to update my review at 1k, 3k, 5k and 10k miles.Based upon these initial impressions, I would buy this brake kit again.

Great Brakes and Look Good Too!
Bought these for a 1998 Toyota Tacoma 4X4 V6. The install took a little while, but that's mostly because it was my first time. They fit perfectly and I haven't experienced any issues with them so far. As a warning though, I would say to make sure that you follow the Break-In instructions (comes in the package) to the letter otherwise they make this terrible grinding type noise and it just sounds awful.I could definitely feel the difference in my stopping almost immediately (again, after following the break-in instructions). Would highly recommend anyone to give themselves a nice upgrade on their older vehicle.
