The Spice Hunter Mesquite Seasoning Blend, 2-Ounce Jar

Poultry Grill and Steak n Chop, are both great. Deeply savory on everything! I use these generously on everything from sauteed veggies to salmon, chicken, and other fish. It's a great combo of spices—not too hot or too spicy—and it never gets tiresome. I rotate these daily with other Spice Hunter flavors.

I’ve been using this spice for many years. It’s great on steak, pork chops….especially pork chops. just very flavorful.

This spice mix is perfect as a seasoning on meat or pasta. I love that it doesn't contain salt, as I have to watch my sodium intake. Will definitely buy again.

I have a lot of spices in my house that I buy and never use again and eventually toss them in trash.. I actually purchased 3 fit between wall stud cabinets on-line and had a carpenter install them vertically in my kitchen to store all the spices. There is def space for this Spice Hunter Mesquite Seasoning blend.This spice is very good tasting. It was purchased to perk up bland chicken breasts but I like the taste. It is not overpowering or underperforming. Any leftover chicken given to my pets, they enjoyed it also. I don't need to put a lot on to get the flavor. It is good on beef, pork chops, lots of things. I made a large baked potato for lunch one weekend and added butter, leftover pieces of meatloaf - a few left over vegetables and decided what the heck - a small dash of this mesquite spice mix. It was very tasty. I try not to use salt or if I do I use Himalayan salt and not a lot of it so this spice helps fill in the salt gap by adding a flavor all its own.I will definitely buy again.

I use this on ribs when I want to just bake them with onion and celery in the oven. Easy and tasty! I also like this on a small pork roast to use the meat slices for sandwiches. It can also add flavor to that tasty gravy if you decide to make the gravy from the drippings leftover. I like that it comes from a company here in California too. I wish it was easier to find at stores. Distributors really end up making all stores the same by dumping really good products like this one. Ever since stores gave over all their ordering power to distributors, they all have the same stuff. So happy Amazon is carrying their products. I love Spice Hunter spices and blends.

Like all Spice Hunter spices this comes in a nice glass bottle, it's salt-free, and the spices taste fresh, but I wouldn't call it BBQ. If you're looking for a BBQ flavor along the lines of - say - Lays BBQ potato chips or Sweet Baby Ray BBQ sauce, that kind of BBQ - this ain't it. The cinnamon is pretty front and center. Maybe it tastes different if it's cooked into roasted meat - I wouldn't know, I don't eat meat - but if you're planning to shake it on popcorn or vegetables or a potato, it's going to give more of a spicy cinnamon flavor than a BBQ flavor. I'm not going to give the flavor a bad rating because it's a subjective thing - I just wanted to let people know.

I love mesquite, this seasoning delivers that wonderful flavor . For me, the bonus is, that it’s got no salt. I’m on a very strict low/ no salt diet, for health reasons. Thank you , Spice Hunter!

Unfortunately, I have an ear condition that requires a pretty much zero salt diet....even 30 mg daily is a biggie for me. Well, unless I decide I want to fall over sideways and be rushed to the emergency room in the middle of the night, just for kicks. I'm always always looking for anything and everything that is SALT FREE, but still has a lot of taste without searing the ever-lovin' taste buds right off your tongue! I don't get to use mine much these days, but hey, you never know, right? Not much around that fits that particular bill, folks. Anyway, I add this spice to a 9 ounce bag of Utz Unsalted Potato Chips (very thin, crispy, and particularly good tasting) along with No-Salt Salt Substitute (potassium chloride) and a tiny tad of Splenda, shake them up, and bingo! Great tasting barbeque flavor potato chips that even my most dedicated junk-food-junkie friends want more of. Everyone asks where they can get them! They like these better than the salted varieties from the grocery store. Honest! Kind of expensive online, for the amount, but can't be found locally...and believe me, I've tried! Just glad to have found it though, actually.
