I needed some extra cards this year and now I still have extra for next year for recipients who did not get these ones from me. I love everything about them except for the shiny card stock. I much prefer a matte card but at this price point I can live with that as the design and colors are very good combined with the matching envelopes which also add a lot of whimsy and value. I had no problem writing on the inside with a ball point pen and of course the envelopes were perfectly matte for addressing. The printing on the back of the cards was not found unsightly or offensive. Typical, really, much like you'd see on the back of your wall calendars. No one will see it anyway when you display the cards. I also love how quickly i received them via Amazon delivery driver. My cards made the USPS Christmas card deadline! RECOMMEND

I thought the design was so charming. The paper that the envelopes were made of was really nice. I was disappointed that the cards themselves were not made from the same paper. I definitely did not like the sheen or type of paper the cards themselves were made of, especially compared to the envelopes.

These cards are very cute but I didn't have a sharpie on hand and they are very smooth on the inside. Not one of my pens would write well in them.

They do have a glossy finish, so you'll need more of a permanent marker to write on them., But I personally like this for the set that I was sending out. I loved that the design went throughout the whole card. I think I paid less than or around $10. So for me, the value was excellent!.

The cards are adorable but you can't write on them with any sort of pen. Very frustrating and disappointing.

Great cards for holiday greetings!

Nice cards, simple design and a good size. Unfortunately the paper has a slippery finish that makes it difficult to accept most inks. Gel, rollerball and fountain pen are all a no go as it won't absorb into the paper. Even permanent marker will bead up and not dry properly. Ballpoint is about all that seems to work.The ink used in the picture is Montblanc ballpoint and it was still smudgeable 5 minutes after writing.

Cards look lovely, but the material is very 'slippy' and almost shiny, which makes it hard to write on. Such a shame as the design is great, but I guess it's due to the recycled nature of the material - which is ironic as that was one of the main reasons I bought it in the first place!

Those who received adore them and the envelopes, too. One caveat: fine-tip pen ink smudges in the cards but not the envelopes.

I liked these cards and just what I wanted.

I am really impressed with the beautiful finish and the quality of these art cards. Very pleased!
