This is an awesome system for anyone that likes a little fun in their TV/movie watching!
We just refinished our basement and added a movie room which included leather reclining movie seats but also old style flip-down movie seats that are up on a platform. I have this connected to one of my subwoofer outputs from my Denon receiver, and this system is awesome, I won't be looking back! My kids and I love the shaking in the chair(s) this sytem produces. The instructions are relatively easy to follow and I found plenty of resources online that helps one figure out how to wire them up.Absolutely 100% happy with the amp and shakers!

Absolutely amazing !!!! Unbelievable experience
Absolutely amazing !!!! Unbelievable experience..Bought 2 SVS SB2000s and was waiting for these. Sound was great but as soon as I installed these the sound came alive. Way more impact that the subs only.

I'm sorry but none of the defusers worked, only the amplifier..didn't have time to return the 4 none working items,so I bought 4 different ones and it works good..I'm happy with the amp but I would not buy it as a bundle,I wasted a lot of time.

Mounting surface is very important
1x6 plywood attached to wooden surface, not metal frame made huge difference for me. These bass shakers are all you need if installed as suggested. Forever changed movies for wife and I.

I found it distracted from the movie but it does a powerful shake no doubt.
For movies, which is 100% of my application for the Dayton Bass Shaker, I didn't care for the bass shaker effect when watching a movie. That's not a knock of the Dayton Shaker Bundle just my opinion. I felt the bass shaker was actually distracting from the movie. At first it was a novelty but I soon just turned it off.The installation was easy enough. Rather then remove the bottom couch cloth cover as is suggested in the installation videos, I simply screwed a 1x6x28" maple board underneath the couches over the top of the cloth cover and onto the wooden frame under the area I normally sit. See picture. I did this since I didn't know if I wanted to keep the bass shakers and this was a way to evaluate without disassembling the couch. On the maple board, I screwed 2ea BST-1s and wired them in parallel to the amplifier for a 2 ohm system powered from the "right" output only. Per the documentation that is the recommended setup and provides the most power to the shakers. Then the subwoofer output of the AVR was "Tee'd" to provide 2 RCA cable outputs, one to the shaker and 1 to the subwoofer. I watched parts of "Edge of Tomorrow" at probably 1/2 the volume of theater levels to understand how the system works. I found that there was plenty of shake with 2 BST-1s mounted under the couch, so much so that I used the remote to dial it down, probably to about 60% of max.The amp has rack mount ears that can be attached to facilitate mounting. As for the Dayton Amp itself, there were some problems that made it awkward to use.1) NO VOLUME DISPLAY: There is no "volume" setting display either on the remote or on the amplifier. There are only buttons to raise or lower the volume and it provides no feedback as to where the volume level is set other then what you feel. A simple analog know with a 1-10 scale would have been much better then what is provided.2) DOES NOT REMEMBER VOLUME SETTING: So if you turn off the unit it will not return the volume to the setting you left it at so you have to dial around again until you find where you want it.
