Toledo Pipe 47770 1"-2" HSS RH NPT Universal Pipe Dies fits RIDGID® 811A 815A Die Head

NPT threads should taper 3/4" per foot. The dies are improperly ground/manufactured. The resultant threads are visibly more parallel than tapered (not even achieving 3/8" taper per foot). I have been battling with a whole-house gas pipe install for several weeks now - cracking fittings and failing pressure tests over and over. In a last-ditch effort, I purchased a different set of dies from a different manufacturer, and it was then I discovered the problem - the difference is very pronounced. I am extremely disappointed. Normally I don't bother leaving negative feedback, but these defective dies have cost me several hundred dollars in having to purchase additional pipe and fittings, not to mention all of my wasted time.
