Good question. It depends on how many elbows you need to get to your termination. This unit vents with either 2" or 3" solid core PVC. Q: I noticed the outlet. If the power was to go out will the water still run without the controls?

No. It needs power. I have used a 12v battery with an inverter to run it when the power went out. It runs only a small fan and electronics.

Q: I have a recirculating pump on my existing 50 gal heater. Would i be able to use it with this unit?? Thank you.

No, you would not. There is a slight difference in GPM and pumping pressure with each pump unit. Therefore, I would recommend contacting Rheems Tankless Water Heater Parts division at 800-621-5622 to get the proper pump for the tankless model you would like.

No, it cannot another exhaust line with another appliance. You can have two tankless units share an exhaust line but that would also change the size of your exhaust pipe.
