Really good rice lives up to its name.
2nd purchase, I thought it was a pretty high price for rice and it is, however, this is some good stuff, some post said dont use for your Gumbo, Jambalaya, or Red Beans and Rice, but my god it elevates all three if you ask me. And it really does smell like popcorn, good fluffy rice couldnt be happier, and it supports American Farmers. All the better.

Wildly exceeds expectations
Heard about this product on a cooking show with Kevin Belton. It's rice, I didn't have any hopes for anything spectacular. Was I ever wrong! We will never buy generic grocery store rice again. I re-order as soon as my container starts to get low.- The grains are beautifully separate and stay that way- Tastes a bit like jasmine rice without being perfume-y- My husband loves it!!! He is a foodie and would eat rice every day if he could- Perfect rice for everything I have tried: lemon chicken casserole, as a side with gravy, in comfort-food meals for sick friends, in broccoli mushroom rice side dish... Everything!- I haven't yet tried it as sticky rice in sushi, tho it does stay together in molds, so I expect it to shine in sushi- Lovely and secure packaging (Outer zip top and sewn cotton bag inside)

Stole the show in red beans and rice
Absolutely phenomenal. I made a pot of red beans and rice, and despite all the seasonings and the sausage and the pickled pork in the red beans everyone keeps raving about this rice. Probably the best rice I've ever had.

It's just rice, but that smell though....
On the surface this is just your typical white rice. It's not long grain... It's not brown... It's not wild...BUT... that smell though!!! When you cook this rice it smells just like popcorn. It doesn't taste much different from regular white rice. Maybe it has a little bit more flavor. The smell is heavenly though and encourages my children to be more interested in eating it. My kids are traditionally not too fond of rice varieties, but when I make THIS rice they will happily clean their plates. Also worth noting, it comes in a lovely fabric sack with a draw string to keep it closed.
