Fotoconic 7" Standard Reflector with 20, 40, 60 Degree Honeycomb Grid & Diffuser Sock for Bowens Mount Studio Strobe Flash Light

I didn't want to throw down another $80 just to get the grids for the 7" reflectors that came with my AD600 strobes so gave this a try. The positive is that the grids fit the reflectors that came with my AD600 perfectly. The downside is that the umbrella hole is about 15 degrees off of alignment with my strobe. I tried it on a Godox S-Bracket and found the same thing but in the opposite direction.I don't plan to ever use the diffuser sock and I threw it away, if you understand how light works, putting a sock on a 7" reflector is just not accomplishing anything, if you want softer light you need a bigger modifier. It doesn't matter to me because I wasn't planning to use it anyway.Bottom line is that this is a great simple reflector and the grids probably fit your other 7" reflectors too but just don't plan to use this with an umbrella. If you don't plan to use the umbrella hole or if you have other reflectors with umbrella holes that you will use when you need them, this is a great low cost option for something that you shouldn't have to spend a lot of money on.

Love the size and the amount of diffusion options you get. I’ve use the grids to achieve some nice dark & moody portrait looks. I haven’t used with an umbrella yet, but I probably won’t because I usually just attach those to my flash bracket in the light stand. So far so good for my case use

It works.

These arrived on time and in perfect condition. They fit the Bowens mount on my MC300 monolights perfectly, and have an electrical box type knock-out to allow an umbrella shaft to slide through, if umbrella use is desired. I am very impressed with how easily the honeycombs can be installed and removed, as well as how much control of the light that I can get by installing one of the honeycombs. I will be buying two more of these in January.

these things work great. i used them with two ad200's with fresnel heads and rogue gels for a shoot and they pulled through

Works great. Wish the slit for the umbrella lined up with the umbrella mount on my flash but that's fine, that's not why I got it.

This is a good quality basic reflector for Bowen’s Mount flash units. The grids snap in securely. Unfortunately for me the umbrella hole is in the wrong place for my godox and flashpoint ms/blaz series lights. Works fine by itself though. The grids work for this and the godox/pergear one. Too bad the lights don’t come with one!
