Awesome scanner
Multiple scanning options such as PDF color, PDF B&W, TIFF, JPEG, scan to email. Quality is superb and functionality is easy, this is the 30th one my company has purchased for offices across the US. Works great!

Watch out - Does not work with MacOS.
Watch out, they scanner is NOT MacOS compatible even though the manufacturers information states that it is. It will work on a Mac but ONLY with the limited functionality PAPERMANAGER software bundled with the so called MacOS drivers. Hardware construction is excellent and setup is simple but if you want to use any other scanner software or the building Mac tools, forget it. Go find another scanner and check the feedback to confirm. I ended up sending this one back and purchasing the Fujitsu iX500 ScanSnap which IS MacOS compatible

Ease of use
I bought this for work. I cannot have a scanner that has any form of memory and this brand of Kodak does not have memory. It's easy to use and make my job a lot easier.

Buy Fujitsu iX500 if you are comparing with i1150
I bought this machine, looking forward to replace my Fujitsu iX500. I decided to keep my iX500 and return this kodak machine at the end.Pro:Good image quality and tone.Good speed, as advertised, at low dpi.Cons:Unbearably slow at color 300dpi and black 600dpi. By comparison, Fujitsu iX500 can maintain 25 sheets per minute at these resolutions.Generation of searchable PDF is very slow compared with iX500.Poor Mac OS support. Its Windows software does NOT work with Parallels Desktop + Win10. (But VirtualBox + Win10 is ok.)

Crap support
I also have an i1120 and like them both very much. Great values for my small business.Addendum: I had rated this 4 stars, but I have to switch to 2 stars. The drivers and software are crap. They can't distinguish between different versions of the product and so once you've had a 'later' model on your machine you can't put the older one back. In addition, I have a new machine now and the driver doesn't work (doesn't recognize the scanner). Lastly, you have to 'request' the software to actually scan something and their web site says 'It's being emailed to you' but it didn't email it.

It works, but it wouldn't be my first choice.
So I have been using this product for about half a year now, and I have to say I miss my Cannon DR-C225. Our annual government bid went out and finance chose the low price option that met our specs and this scanner replaced our Cannons. I have to say it was a downgrade. The scanner shoots sheets onto the desktop instead of allowing it to go back up like the Cannon which is really annoying. I don't have a lot of desk space and this feature means I have to move things around each time I want to scan. Another thing I was not super happy with is the programming. The Cannon's software seemed to be easier to use and simpler to understand. It is just my opinion but if I could trade my Kodak for the Cannon I would do so in a heartbeat.I should also mention that it is really annoying to feed it thinner papers like receipts. With the Cannon I could just place the receipt into the tray and it would grab it. With the Kodak I have to push the receipt into the grabber wheels to get it to accept it, and then it will still sometimes jam as it try's to pull in the thinner paper. That said it does do the job it is supposed to, and with some adjustment in the programming it will attempt to ignore blank pages. If I had not had the opportunity to use the Cannon beforehand I would have thought it a totally acceptable scanner.

Best Scanner for the money
This scanner is great. Sans both sides of the document. It is very fast. It takes up very little room on your "real desk top". Very easy to install and operate. Perfect for a customer service business environment. My entire office of 12 people is paperless thanks to this device. Everybody has one on their desk.
