Why pay more for this great cutter?
I have a huge guillotine paper cutter along with an old rotary style paper cutter. I love them both but they take up a lot of my desk space when I use them. I decided to try this small cutter that I could sit on my desk.I am in love! This cutter cuts very well and I can leave it on my desk while I work on cards, scrapbooks and journals. I noticed that when I was shopping around that this same cutter is being sold by We R Memory for more money. The only differences between the two is the base has a different design grid where you line up the paper and the color. This one cost less so of course I chose this one. I am not disappointed at all.I like that this one tells you the measurements where as some of the smaller cutters only have lines and no measurements. How do I know how where to cut my paper? Having measurements in 1/8" increments is a necessity for me.I have other Bira Craft products and I have not been disappointed in any of them. So far they all have been quality products at great prices. I will continue to purchase their products as I need them.

Cuts clean! Great product!
I have been searching for a paper cutter for a while. Decided to take a chance and get this brand. Love that it cuts clean with no jagged edges, true to measurement cutting size, and self sharpening is a plus.

Love this.
First, my cutter is not square. Normally I'd give it one star for that alone, but this is the handiest little thing. It weighs next to nothing but it's pretty sturdy. I use it far more than my 12" cutter, even more than my scissors. The sound it makes will take you right back to elementary school. It's so cool. And yes, it cuts paper great. I've had mine around two years and use it a lot making cards. Still, great.

Just the right size
Cuts great. Just the right size for cutting out cardstock for making cards. Good quality.

Perfect size for A2 cards
I like that it has a hole so I can hang it on my craft cart. Also I think it's a more convenient size than the smaller photo trimmer. It trims well and is the perfect size when my cards need a slight trim because the card base didn't exactly fold evenly. Itn's good for trimming off tiny slivers of paper.

Really was hoping it would work
Was really hoping this would work for my paper craft cutting but it got three stars because it doesn't cut through the paper if it's too long, the paper holder broke the first time I used it. Unfortunately it's been too long since I received it and I can't return it. So I'll muddle thru with smaller pieces of paper. But I would say really read the reviews!

Great for use with planners and mini-binders
I am so glad that I read the reviews and found out that this trimmer measures your paper width to at least 6 inches wide. Mini-binder paper needs to be 5 1/2" wide and the other popular brand that is found slightly cheaper with coupons at Michael's (Friskars) only measures to 5" wide. With this one there is no guessing and I get a precise 5 1/2" wide cut each time. I am not sure how would be able to cut with the Friskars. I guess I would have to approximate or have to measure and mark everything. With the Bira there is no need to.I use this cutter a long with my Staples mini binder 3 hole punch to make my own paper and inserts for my planner, budget mini binder and recipe mini binder. I also use it to cut A6 (3 3/4" x 6 3/4") There are a lot of free printables for planners online and if you can't find exactly what you want you can find things on ETSY or even Peanuts Planner Co. They want 3.5 cents a sheet of paper for the Avery mini binder filler paper. I have a Dollar General lined notepad that is 8.5" high and slightly wider than 5.5". Usually I cut that slightly narrower with this trimmer and each sheet is less than 1 cent. If I want to cut photocopy paper in half, I can write my to-do list for less than 1/2 cent. If I am using 1-2 sheets of mini-binder size paper every day, then this trimmer will pay for itself in a year or two and I can use it for many other things besides. If you want your own specialized printables then a paper trimmer is necessary. If you want to cut yourself some paper or pages on more heavyweight paper a trimmer is necessary. I make some of the inserts that I will be using for the entire year on cardstock.I have not find any difficulty trimming straight with this one. Somewhere I read to make sure that when pushing the guillotine down push the handle slightly towards you and also hold the plastic piece that holds the paper down so the paper does not shift. I think it is easy to use and all of my papers have turned out straight.

Does the job, but not as sharp as I'd like
I bought a guillotine cutter for my sticker making purposes after the slider cutters weren't leaving a clean cut along the edges. This cutter was small as intended for my letter size pages that were being cut into halves or quarter sheets. I found the edge of the cutter to not cut through all my edges, though they were clean when they did cut. Maybe it's because I used the weatherproof plasticky thick sticker papers, but the edges would constantly get stuck and not cut all the way through, BENDING the paper at the cut edge instead. I'll fiddle around with it some more, but this did make almost half of my sticker prints unsellable.
