Weber Porcelain-Enameled Cast-Iron Cooking Grates For Q300/3000

I've had my Weber Q300 for 10 years (or so) and it was time to finally replace the grates. I was skeptical based on the reviews, but this item was perfect. The grate arrived in authentic Weber packaging and was shipped securely in an Amazon box. Upon taking this out of the packaging, it fit my grill perfectly. This does come in two pieces, like the original model, which was to be expected. It is pretty heavy, but that's a sign of the cast-iron quality. I've been using it for every week for the past month and it doesn't disappoint.

These grills are terrific. It really delivers the best of porcelain and cast iron. I bought it as a replacement for the cast iron grills of my 7 year old Weber Q320 which I left in the rain and they rusted. I plan to eventually repair them but thought I would try these. Perfect fit and cooks beautifully. And can I just say how much I love the Weber q series grill. Mine still works as well as the day I bought it and I use it 4-5 times a week year round.. Grill lights up with one push of a button. These grills will further extend its life.

The Weber Porcelain-Enameled Vast-Iron Cooking Grates for the Q300 though significantly more than the other Q300 Grates is worth the price difference. It cleans up easier and will last significantly longer. Been using it for several weeks now and still looks like it's not been used. Could see evidence of use with the cheaper grates after the first use.

I was concerned about fit for my old Q300 after so many "iffy" reviews. Knowing I can send them back, and Webers 2 year warranty, I figured "why not?" Had you seen my old ones, the only thing I'd be missing is tetanus...Grate set 7646 received: Put your mind at ease! These monsters cannot budge. Much heavier coating than original. Cast seems beefier also...I grill year round, at least 3 times a week. The first set lasted more than 11 years! That's a tough act to follow, but these appear to be up to the challenge...

I purchased my Weber Q320 in 2009 from Amazon and it's still in great shape, except for the grates. In May, I purchased these porcelain enameled grates and really like them - except for the fact that they fell into my BBQ!!! Seeing this was a common problem with the reviewers - I called Weber customer support. It took three calls and finally a call back from a manager to get this resolved. First - make sure you have the serial # of your BBQ before you call. That was call #1; I had to hang up - go search and find it on the BBQ and then call back. Second - be ready to send them proof of purchase for these grates - yes - I had to pull the invoice - pdf it and email it to Weber customer support before they would take action. Third - ask for management involvement.All the callers including the manager insisted that the reason the grates don't fit is because the "proper care" wasn't taken with the BBQ causing the cooking area to expand and therefore the new grates wouldn't fit. Hmmmm.....not so fast. If that's the case - why did the original cast iron grates fit? Beside the point that we keep our BBQ in very good clean shape. A little insulting if you ask me!I mentioned that I had read on the Amazon review about the clip that could be sent to me by Weber that would make the grates fit. I was told NO, that was only for the 200 series and would not fit my Q320. Again, hmmm. I asked to have a manager call me back. And he did, two days later. Note - we are now a week into this process :)He was very helpful, but skeptical if the clips would do any good. Once again he went through the maintenance of the BBQ, the expansion of the cooking surface, etc. I in turn repeated why then did the original grates work for so long with no problem. I asked him to send the clips - he agreed - but didn't guarantee a solution since they were not intended for my model.One week later (yes we are now two weeks into this) the clips arrived, along with a brochure on the correct BBQ maintenance....they just couldn't resist. I can see why he was hesitant - they are made to be put on either side of the BBQ and give additional support in the middle and didn't work on this model when installed this way. However....I put both of them on the same side since the Q320 has two ledges on each side. You just put them in side by side ( on the same side) and they give enough support to hold the grates steady.I've tested them three times now and have had no problems. Love the new grates, thankful to have solved the problem, frustrated that Weber isn't more on top of this given all the similar reviews.Here's the details on the clips: Part number: 65634 and the Description is: Clips Q Grate 15.Hope this helps - happy BBQ'ing!

Just like the original! Almost replaced the grill but by replacing the grates, it looks brand new

I've had to replace the cast iron grill twice now. This is more expensive, but I'm hoping will not deteriorate as fast. We shall see! Fits perfect. Love my little Q grill.
