I'm very much pleased to write the review as a highly satisfied user of the product. In fact tried few fountain pen of similar prize range and little above, and noted this as the best, continuous flow of ink, smoothness, easy refil and elegant look.

Purchased this as a second fountain pen to complement my Sulekha. The pen writes beautifully with the flow of the ink being smooth and even. I'm currently using one of the two included cartridges while the Sulekha has a converter so it's not an apples-to-apples comparison but the flow seems better on the Cardin. I'll have a better idea when I shift to the converter included with the pen.Speaking of the pen pack, it is good to have all options on the table - converter as well as cartridges. Beginners who wish to save a buck and don't mind refilling ink can get a pot of ink, while those who wish to save time can go for cartridges. Pierre Cardin's cartridges are quite 'xtra long' and in my experience, tend to last a little less than a gel pen refill.The reason I have docked a star is twofold - 1. the pen is heavy but 2. the build quality leaves something to be desired. It has a beautiful and sturdy metal cap, but caps are hardly the most important parts of a fountain pen. The plastic body feels flimsy. The cartridge bent a little when I pushed it into position and remains bent. The white print on the cartridge came off in my hand. Thus, you get a pen that is heavier than others but at the same time, will probably not survive much rough usage. This is a pity because the Pierre Cardin brand is marketed as a premium one that one can gift to near and dear ones.If one is a beginner, I would say get a lighter pen if possible. This is especially true if you are used to disposable ball pens since the weight difference will soon cause wrist fatigue.Overall, I'd recommend this pen, but not for beginners coming from other types of pens, and generally for anyone who prefers light pens.

Received the pen today. Packaging was good. The pen is made of plastic and the convertor is flimsy. Currently using the cartridge and the ink flow from the nib is alright. The ink bleeds a bit. Despite all that the writing experience is more or less average. The pen has hiccups if you try to write too fast so definitely not recommended if you are taking notes while at lectures. Otherwise at normal writing speeds the pen is good. Better than most ball point pens. At this price point I think it is pretty good. I am not sure how long the convertor will last but the body of the pen is durable. 4.25 out of 5. Overall it’s nothing extraordinary but gets the job done.
