I am a pen fanatic. I have too many fountain pens, and too many are messy. I've loved my Retro 51 rollerballs, other expensive pens and Tul BP or gel pens as my "go to" fast writers until... I tried using a reusable Rocketbook notebook. If you don't know of this, you an search here on Amazon. Turns out the Rocketbook is not as fantastic as the pen that came with it. Pilot's FriXion pens are ERASABLE ink. The .07 works better on regular paper than on the slick Rocketbook "paper" and doesn't need moisture to erase. The pens use heat friction to erase and have literally changed my writing life.But per the Retro 51 motto "life's too short to carry an ugly pen" (or cheap one) THIS beautiful sleek upgrade to the plastic FriXion pen has truly become MY FAVORITE PEN. You can change the refills (just search "Frixion pen refills" for blue, violet, even burgundy) but I love the black .07 LOVE THIS PEN!

Looks like an expensive pen. If you use the eraser a lot it will annoy you. Feels heavier than the normal clicker pens but you get used to it.

I’ve had all the plastic Frixion pens and they’ve been my favorites, until this metal beauty popped up in my life. BUY IT! You’ll ❤️ it.

I really like this pen for everyday use at work, it’s great for times when I want to write in ink rather than pencil, but don’t want the message to be distracted by cross-outs & my handwriting glitches. It’s an erasable gel ink that writes smoothly without any leakage/excess ink; of course this is not appropriate for check writing (if you still do that!) and other such legal documents. This pen (red barrel) is an attractive brushed metal, with a pocket clip that slides/clicks up/down to activate the retractable ballpoint mechanism, and with the ink eraser hiding under a twist-off cap on the end. Frixion makes different ballpoint tip sizes, and this pen came with an extra fine .5 mm black ink cartridge. Replacement cartridges are easy to find and if you decide you like the pen, it’s a good idea to pick up replacement cartridges—I use mine frequently, and the ink lasted a fair amount of time before needing replacing. The pen accommodates both the .5mm and .7mm tip sizes, so you’re free to change ink color and tip size as you choose. The pen overall is well made and should last a long time as long as you don’t fiddle with the clip/retractor excessively—the most vulnerable place on most pens—but just be aware if you like to click & bend your pen clips, then this pen is not recommended for you.

This is a keeper. My favorite pen is a metal fountain pen that I use for practically everything. But, that can't be used in a Rocketbook. The plastic pen included with the Rocketbook feels cheap and disappointing. I have a 3-color pen Frixion pen which looks nice and functions well, but it's still plastic and doesn't have the type of hold I like which I get from my fountain pen. Functionally, this pen works great and feels lovely to hold. I wouldn't mind if it was a touch heavier. Aesthetically, I love the green color and the smooth design. The eraser is hidden under a screw cap at the top - I don't use the eraser ever, so I don't mind that it's hidden.The pen clip is drawn to magnets. That works great for me as that's the method I use for attaching my pens to notebooks and planners.The Frixion ink functions as it should within the Rocketbook. I wet-erase my pages. I foresee a long life for this pen with blue ink refills.
