Pilot Frixion Ballpoint Pen, Firxion Biz Knock, Silver (LFBK-2SEF-S)

I am a pen fanatic. I have too many fountain pens, and too many are messy. I've loved my Retro 51 rollerballs, other expensive pens and Tul BP or gel pens as my "go to" fast writers until... I tried using a reusable Rocketbook notebook. If you don't know of this, you an search here on Amazon. Turns out the Rocketbook is not as fantastic as the pen that came with it. Pilot's FriXion pens are ERASABLE ink. The .07 works better on regular paper than on the slick Rocketbook "paper" and doesn't need moisture to erase. The pens use heat friction to erase and have literally changed my writing life.But per the Retro 51 motto "life's too short to carry an ugly pen" (or cheap one) THIS beautiful sleek upgrade to the plastic FriXion pen has truly become MY FAVORITE PEN. You can change the refills (just search "Frixion pen refills" for blue, violet, even burgundy) but I love the black .07 LOVE THIS PEN!

Another great design from Pilot. It's all metal throughout, so weight distribution is pretty balanced and feels great in the hand. It's ever so slightly slimmer than a regular Pilot G2, but the difference is quite evident. It tapers at the grip section while other pens don't. I don't miss having that rubber grip that most gel/rollerball pens have.It can take Pilot G2 and Energel refills without modification. Uniball refills require slight modification. Uniball 0.5mm refills won't fully retract, so you would have to cut off a tiny sliver ~0.2mm from the end of the refill. Uniball 0.38mm refills have a slightly smaller diameter barrel and require the longer Uniball spring and inserting the refill while the mechanism is fully retracted. It takes a little bit of cajoling to get it down in there. Even then, it's not a smooth click and you have to kind of jam the clicker down to engage it. It's worth doing if you really want the Uniball colors like blue-black, which Pilot doesn't have with such a fine line.

This pen feels so great and makes it so much easier to use my rocketbook panda planner. The only downside is the ink runs ljr fairly quickly, but buying the refils in bulk is easy enough

I bought this for use with a Rocketbook, but I also use it with regular paper.The weight and balance are very good. The only thing I might change is the grip. Being metal, it's a bit smoother than I like. A rubber grip or a textured grip might make it better, but then it wouldn't look as good (it looks very nice). Overall, I like this pen a lot. I love that the eraser is available but hidden under a cap.

These aren't the best for attractive writing. The ink doesn't flow easily. They are comfortable to hold and the special eraser does work.

I have a Rocketbook and this type of pen is recommended. I also like a nice pen, so this was the perfect joining of those two worlds.Definitely recommend.

The pen works great and I haven't had any problems with it mechanically as of yet. The action feels a little cheap however, and the paint gets scuffed up rather easily.

Good weight and good feel. It could easily be replaced with other frixion ink.
