Easy set up, great features, low price.
I haven't owned a printer or a scanner in years, but decided it was finally time. After reviewing a lot of other products, I decided to go with the PIXMA TS5020 because it was economically priced, had a scanner, wireless printing, allowed me to just replace the color ink that I needed and best of all, it was going to be delivered on a Sunday. So I have to say, this thing was a breeze to set up--just make certain you have some printer paper on hand, as it does not come with even a small stack in the box, and you will need paper to complete the set up and calibration. So, really, this was just a plug it in, follow the on screen instructions of removing packaging material, inserting paper, printing a test page, scanning a test page, and then to get it onto the network you need to use the included CD-ROM which allows you to directly connect to the printer to set up the wireless network from your computer--make certain you know your wifi password by heart as it will disconnect your computer from your network while it connects directly to the printer. Whole thing took maybe 10 minutes to complete and be able to print.Printing is fast and high quality, nice sharp images and text. The scanner scans fast, but its a bit noisy, not like, jackhammer outside the window at 7 am noisy, but noisy enough that I was thinking why couldn't they add a bit of soundproofing or some wd-40 to the scanner to make it quieter.Overall, I'd buy this printer again without hesitation.

for the money this is excellent
i only use canon and for many years. my old scanner, my dig camera, my printers. i like canon because no matter how long ago my product may have had warranty expired whenever i have had a prob i email canon tech support and they reply without asking you for money.i loved my previous all in one pixma but after about 7 years it died so i searched for canon all in one. i also only use generic ink so before i buy i make sure generic ink is made for model.i hated this printer upon getting it plugged in. i dont connect wifi to my win10 because i dont have need to send docu or photo wirelessly so i have it connected usb( which the opening for plug is VERY HARD TO FIND and plug cord in.)also printer didnt have touch screen as my last pixma...it has arrows on it that you must press. also you had(i thought) to keep chnging size of paper whenever you needed by pressing the damn buttons.i emailed canon to tell them machine sucked and they told me to install the software ..i did...plus i have adobe photo editor on comp and now when i want to print i open it and print from the program and choose size etc.same thing with scan entry. it is very quiet. pictures print darker than what i see on screen so i know now to lighten photo before printingit is also very quiet. i have printed about 20 large size 8x10 prints recently and all ink tanks are only at halfway mark, this is a capable printer ..

Let the buyer be aware!
Before I talk about the printer itself, I want to talk about the terms of the deal, which didn't register when my old Pixma failed, I needed a printer fast and I wanted to be able to reuse my secondary market ink and ink tanks, thus limiting my choice: I was unable to register the printer with Canon because the serial # is a Canadian # and won't register. There appears to be no warranty beyond the Amazon one. The seller advertised on the Amazon site at the time I purchased "only 2 left." Less than a week later, that same seller is now saying "only 6 left." I do note that though the box was unopened and the printer is marked "new" that the box has seen a lot of wear, as though it has been moved/shipped/handled a lot.Now to the printer: while different from my prior one, it prints fine: clear, black, or true color. It's pretty quiet compared to my Pixma MG6820. The control panel is hinged at the top to the front of the printer and must be flipped up to print/copy/scan. The output paper trey is concealed by the front panel and it must be pulled out to receive paper. I find the wording on the little control window on the front confusing/non-intuitive but expect that will get better when I use the printer more.If this printer lasts 2 years (which was the life-span of my MG6820) and continues to perform as it has for the last few days, I will be very, very happy with it. However, based on some experiences with electronics, I have my fingers crossed and am saving $ for next printer especially since there is, basically, no warranty. The poor tech support rating is because dealing with Canon re the old printer was so unhelpful/confusing even when I was willing to pay the $19.99 fee.
