These work fantastically. I wish I had known about them a long time ago. I spend a lot of my reading time while I’m eating and these hold the pages down better than I expected.

Someone I love is a huge bookworm and I am obsessed with ergonomics (items that are designed to allow you to do tasks comfortably and not strain your body).I spent an unreasonable amount of time, along with a friend, learning everything about book holders. The reviews were super helpful but ultimately, I also had to just take a chance and try a couple of things. After selecting this one, I have for you the best possible review of this item: the person I got this for loved it.PS - It’s helpful for reading novels as well as popping up cookbooks and magazines.

Love it. All the others I have looked at wouldn’t hold down pages of thick books. This one does.

These weights are the artifacts that would keep one’s book/notebook pages open without needing to use one’s phone, coffee cup or any other heavy things one uses. Nicer colors and materials could be used to build them but all in all they make the job.

Decent, but not as heavy as some of the ones I've had in the past. I'm not going to return them, but I wouldn't buy them again.

These bookweights are heavy enough to hold even a fairly stiff new paperback open, unlike some of the other offerings on Amazon. Not quite as heavy or well-finished as my best bookweights, which came from a luxury catalog, but much less expensive and perfectly good for everyday use.

I was so stoked to get these because I'm a graduate student doing a lot of note taking out of books and got tired of using dumbells. After two weeks of trying to figure them out I can say they're not really worth the money. They're very light and therefore can't keep any of the books I'm researching, hardback or paperback. As soon as I take my hand off, the book closes in on the weight. Perhaps it's user error, but the only way I can make them work for me is if I use both on the same book, but even then it's not great and I have to keep shuffling the weights around the things I'm trying to read. It's fine in the meantime until I can buy better book weights.
