CERWIN Vega 600-watt Passive Spare Tire Application Subwoofers Series (VS12SH),Gray/Black

This is the first product from Amazon that I was more than satisfied with. I had a 2014 CR-V with a sealed 10" Kicker box with passive radiator(to simulate a ported enclosure for more lower end bass). I was never excited about the Kicker box but it did the job enough for me not to replace it. After about a 13 month (one month after the warrantee ran out) I managed to blow the voice coil and could not get repaired. I decided to try the Cerwin-Vega shallow mount enclosure. Glad I did...this has more volume than the kicker box, does not take up any space and took me less than 15 mins to get it playing. I am not going to say this set up is for bass heads but if you are looking for something easy, doesn’t take up space and affordable...look no further than this set up.

I recently purchased a speaker as a gift for my husband from Amazon, and unfortunately, my experience has been quite disappointing. I had high hopes for this product, especially considering the price I paid.From the moment it arrived, things didn’t go as planned. After having it connected by a professional, the speaker blew out the very first time it was turned on. Given that I live in the Caribbean, I quickly discovered that returning the item would be a challenge. Amazon informed me that their return policies are different for international customers, and shipping it back would incur substantial costs due to its weight.To complicate matters, I had already paid additional shipping and duty to import it into Trinidad, In total, I found myself spending more on shipping and duties than the actual cost of the speaker itself. I was incredibly frustrated and disappointed by this situation.While I was eventually able to arrange for repairs at yet another cost, the experience has soured my opinion of the product. It feels like I received what could have been old stock—clearly evidenced by the faults in the unit.Given my experience, I cannot recommend this speaker. The initial excitement quickly turned to frustration, and I believe there are better options available elsewhere. In future purchases, I would advise checking reviews for product reliability and ensuring that the return policies suit your location.

I can run this thing at 500 watts and it doesn't rattle. Unbelievable bass. Seems like magic.

The media could not be loaded. Not happy paid full price for a sub that looks like it has been demo, or repacked. Wtf. If I wanted used, I would have bought the used for 230. Not pay 279...

Although instructions are foggy, it’s simple tapping into a door speaker to get this passive going. Although, it seems really weak to the point where I don’t believe I feel any difference in my driver seat, even after tweaking my bass to max. But I’m jumping from a 15” Skar to this for storage space so, take it with a grain of salt I suppose

I really wanted this to be a great solution for me, but ultimately Cerwin Vega let me down. Installation was a breeze and the unit sounded really good for what it is. Exactly a week after the return policy ended, the product failed. Worked with Amazon to return the product, who at first redirected me to the manufacturer. Cerwin Vega was unwilling to help, so I got back in contact with Amazon and let them know this - they then allowed me to return the product. Just happy Amazon didn't leave me high and dry with a failed product.
