I’m always searching for good prices on fancy rice. This brand is my favorite. The prices go up and down due to imported pricing, I guess. But very good quality and taste.

You have to taste it to believe it, there is such a difference between mass market rice and high quality Japanese rice, it is expensive but what a treat. This rice is among the best I have ever had the good luck to taste.

I was looking for a premium rice for the special occasion, and came across this brand that claims to have won Gold Medal at rice competition in Japan . This was absolutely one of the best ever tried in terms of color , texture and of course flavor! I don’t think I will be cooking this rice every day due to the price but will definitely order again for another special occasion.

Having lived in Japan, I love this rice as it is totally authentic. We eat a lot of rice so I don’t think this is very affordable for the main rice dish.

I must have been having some kind of fever when I bought this. $35 for a 4.4 pound sack of rice. I ain’t entertaining the emperor of Japan over here, I can get 15 pounds of Nishiki rice from the Hong Kong market for that much. And you can’t return it. Great.

Good reason this is a gold metal winner … it is wonderful.

This is a great rice. It reminds so much of the rice I used to get back when I was an exchange student in Japan. My host family were quite the foodies and took me on trips just to sample great foods of the country. This is easy to cook (hey its just rice). It has a great aroma and texture. It comes with an outer bag around the core actual product packaging. I think that is a nice touch and a very Japanese thing.Thanks for a great product.
