Vendetta [DVD]

As a fan of British Films like 'The Long Good Friday' 'Mona Lisa' 'Get Carter' The Original Sweeney big screen spin offs etc , I was really looking forward to this and I was not disappointed ,it is simply brilliant, and is in my top five Brit movies up there with 'Get Carter'I think what Jonathan Sothcott has done for Brit films in the last few years is fantastic, and I think Danny Dyer is the most underrated actor in the country ,critics love to slam all his movies, but he never gives less than his best and he is simply outstanding in this movie.The film itself is a shocking ,violent roller coaster of a movie, that leaves you wanting more, and I sincerely hope there is more to come, and that Dyer can get released from Eastenders for enough time to do another one, I also have to mention the writer and director Stephen Reynolds ,he had a decent start with Rise and Fall of the Essex boys ,but with this he has excelled himself, there is never a dull moment, the cast are all brilliant(especially Dyer, Altin,Nevern ,Regan and Mckee) and the writing is great, it all ties together brilliantly , the revenge scenes are shockingly superb,(they couldn't have happened to nicer people) I wouldn't have liked to be in Reynolds head when he was coming up with them though!The cinematography is belying of it's small budget ,some of the shots of London at night are beautiful, the film looks amazing throughout.The DVD extras are fantastic ,Behind the scenes interviews and Reynolds short film The Snowman(great) ,so I would urge anyone who likes Brit films or even USA made vigilante films to buy this, you will not be disappointed .10/10 and already counting the days for Vendetta 2(Stateside?)

I dont like the lead actor in this film, but he gave an outstanding performance in this film.

Its a good film based on a type of Charles Bronson deathwish style film but I thought the ending could have been better the police letting him walk off because one of the blokes kills his ex wife is a bit far fetched but all in all a good film

A good film

I eagerly awaited this DVD before it even hit certain cinemas around London and now I finally own it, it doesn't disappoint! I know some are easy to jump in and have a pop purely because of Danny Dyer being the main star and the fact it doesn't hold some high Hollywood budget to its name, but this is a film I would definitely put up there with some of the best. This has to be Dannys best performance yet. It's a true gritty film that holds some great supporting actors like Josef Altin, Vincent Regan, Nick Nevern, Roxanne Mckee,Bruce Pain and Joshua Osei to name a few.If you are after a good action film from start to finish, read the description of what it's about and give it a shot!

it would be interresting to see if someone else played the lead - bit predictable

Top five star rating, for the film itself, as it's definitely one to watch for me, as it captivates and keeps you intrigued throughout, as it did, both myself and my fiance. However! Have to point out, the first 30 minutes were quite gruesome, for my fiance and she did have her eyes shut to start off with, but in the end she really got into it. Just a warning to be prepared. For me it was just up my street!Dispatch and delivery was excellent and the item arrived in excellent condition, as was used! Very happy chappy.
