Buyer Beware!!!
Buyer Beware!! I'm not one to leave a negative review but in this case, I want to warn others before you waste your money.I bought this leg brace in hopes it would help my dog to heal from a knee injury. I initially chose a size to large based on the description. Noah was great at correcting this and sent a size medium immediately. Email communication was an immediate response and I had the replacement within a few days. Fast forward now 8 weeks...I have been trying to use this brace successfully with zero success! It does not and will NOT stay in the proper position to help the dog!! In fact, she limps worse when trying to wear it due to the positioning!! I literally have to reposition it on her leg every time she moves!! The brace is well made and has metal supports which are supposed to align with the sides of the knee. They bend with the knee to add the support needed. When the brace moves constantly, these metal braces end up on the FRONT and BACK of the knee! I have also noticed with just 6 weeks of use, the velcro is already worn off and won't hold properly. Brace is great quality, velcro needs improved. Same thing happened with the hock brace I started with from this company. Cheap velcro.I have once again reached out to the company for advice how to make this work properly. In fact, I've now sent 4 emails since the beginning of November, with ZERO response!!! The automated reply is being sent from Labra's email system so I know they are receiving the emails that I am sending. I had included photos in each email in hopes of getting support of how to make this work. I still have gotten nothing...zero response.Of course, I am now past my return window with Amazon so I guess I am screwed out of the $90 this brace cost to buy. I was so hopeful that this would be the answer in helping my poor limping dog to heal. Do yourself a favor and save your money and look elsewhere!!

Solid support for the price point
We purchased this in the hopes of rehabilitating our Collie/Pyrenees mix’s back leg. He has already had one complete tear of his right CCL last year, and two days ago he injured his other leg. It doesn’t seem to be a complete tear, so we are trying to avoid surgery for now. The brace arrived a day late (thanks Amazon) but it has already worked wonders! I can tell he is feeling better wearing it and he seems much more comfortable having the support. He is sitting up more and can get up to potty much easier than before. It’s a little big on the top strap, but otherwise it works fine (anything smaller wouldn’t fit). Folks complaining about the sizing just need to understand that it is hard to get a product that comes in S/M/L/XL to fit every breed - that’s more custom orthotic territory, and those start at around $350 minimum. Overall a great product for the price point!

Just would not stay in place
My beautiful girl, an older Border Collie, tore her ACL badly and is limping, unable to bear weight on her rear haunch. While she heals she requires a brace to protect her knee joint and allow it to bear some weight and take the compensating pressure she's putting on her other hip.We tried this brace, sized it a dozen times to make sure we got it right. We bought an additional harness as required to attach the back strap of this brace to. It will not stay in place. We tried so many times, and it would just not do the job. It slips, it shifts, and the velcro straps snagged her fur and prevented a consistent fit. In the meantime, my girl was so patient but in immense pain with no relief from this brace. If your dog is active, or has a lot of fur, you alsoay find this difficult. My dog was clearly uncomfortable as you not only have the brace on the injured leg, but another elastic strap with velcro which must go over the rear and attach firmly to the GOOD haunch. Them, you must fit a full chest harness on the dog and attach the sliding back strap from the brace to the leash home on the chest harness, adjust all of it correctly....and meanwhile the severely injured dog is sporting a ton of strange gear. It may work for some dogs....short fur, not very active, and it may be a blessing for those dogs. This one did not work at all and was very cumbersome for both owner and dog. Great idea, poor execution. The joint pieces themselves seemed nice and allowed for a bit of movement in the correct direction, it's just too bad it doesn't seem to work for long fur and/or an active dog. Just too much gear. Perhaps if your dog is already accustomed to a chest harness you may have better luck. I will donate this setup to the local no-kill dog shelter in hopes it can be used should the need arise.I am awaiting arrival of a different brace which utilizes a neoprene sleeve approach, with an immovable splint at the knee, and a strap which goes over and around the rear torso and in front of the good haunch, coming back to the brace underneath, eliminating the need for attachment of a strap to the good leg as well as eliminating the need for a chest harness.TL/DR:. Decent materials, didn't work with long fur and an active dog, requires too many attachment points and extra gear, making the dog even more uncomfortable, and will not stay in place. Seems reasonably well made and thought out, your mileage may vary.

This item is not user friendly. It's very hard to position correctly.
First, the brace is very hard to put on my dog because 1. The dog does not want to wear it and it's hard to hold them still long enough to get it in place. 2. The straps and velcro are cumbersome. They are very long and and continuously attach where they shouldn't be while trying to wrap. 3. Within a couple of minutes of getting it on my dog it's already slipping out of place. I give this a 2 star because the material is good quality, but the usability, fit, and affect are not good.

Does the job but hard on hairy dogs
It definitely helps my boy with his bad knee. He walks on it instead of holding it up. My only complaint is the velcro is on the inside and when you have a hairy golden retriever, it is nearly impossible to see to velcro it together. I did have to sew on a loop to hold the elastic in place over the front of the knee because it keeps slipping down and doesn't stay where it should. It does help him be able to stand up without assistance.
