This is my second one - the first I use as a phone call log to keep track of medical / info / details calls, this one I use as a "Done List" record.The pre-printed header on each page for subject / day / date / weather is the perfect prompt to make that note (don't really care about the weather), and the price is better than most journals, and this one is an inch thick.Lots of good cover colours, elastic closure, paper isn't thin and has a great writing surface (not grainy, not too slick), takes pens, rollerballs, highlighters, pencil, etc..No spiral binding to constrict writing movement and this opens flat. Yes, at the beginning or end, I use another book to prop up the difference when open but that's because I like a really sold base to write on. Works perfectly well without.

Very nice journal and sturdy. The outer leather part is nice and the elastic band is helpful to keep things inside intact and to save your page. Good price for the product. Recommend!
