I purchased this Light Socket Extender bc the ceiling fan unit in my study only had one bulb and wasn’t that bright. So I removed the glass dome and installed the socket extender. The plan worked! Now I don’t have to work during an indoor eclipse.The review wants to know what I think of the motion detect option… I haven’t seen any such thing? So don’t expect that to be an option with this model.

Works well but the swivel head is weak. You can adjust the angle but it’ll drift back to a 90-degree angle. Might work well with a very light weight light bulb though.

I have only installed 1 of the 3 I bought. Not pretty but that fan is powerful and the light brought amazing light in a dark are of my house. Easy to install. The remote that came with it doesn’t work and I can’t speak to durability since I just installed it. Overall I am thrilled

Wow, this made installing an LED light in my garage a <10 minute job including ladder time!My garage light bulb socket is at a slight angle past parallel to the ceiling so there was no way to install the LED light I purchased which needs to be mounted in a socket perpendicular to the ceiling.I figured I'd have to pull the existing light fixture, replace it with one that is perpendicular, rewire, etc....before installing the light.Then I thought I'd do a search to see if something like this product exists rather than put in a new fixture, rewire, yada, yada and was THRILLED to see it does! I don't have a problem doing the box/wiring thing but it's a 20ft. ceiling so things can get a bit tricky on the 17' ladder while working over your head. Living alone doesn't help should a mishap occur. (Think: I've fallen and I can't get up.)The product feels well built and the swivel moves smoothly yet is firm once set to the desired angle. It's not exactly 90 degrees in my case so it's good to have the flexibility this product gave me to get it perpendicular. The flexibility of angle range this product allows is impressive.For what this product saved me in time, parts/labor from installing a new fixture, it's easily worth double the price, or more.It was no more difficult than changing the ancient light bulb with one extra step.This is a 6 star product!

Great product and easy to install. I used them for can lights with horizontal fixture.
